take that war attendance badge off, i don't want it, and i know i can refuse having one. I don't want it because it doesn't say the thruth. I have attended more wars than the most of you, and the fact that it says i have attended 2 wars is a nice slap into my face, it's disrespectfull.

same as the fact that emeritus people can't view the adult forums because we are not dedicated enough, even if most of emeritus used to be tertiaries or even council for more than a year. That's another slap into our faces.

They started counting from September i think.
Every1 got this n00b count of wars..

Same goes with me, i had like 60 event points, became emeritus.
Count got resetted, and now i had to start all over again..

And Oh, I Didn't know you could refuse the war badge..

It's a count from a few months ago. Everything has to start somewhere, and unfortunately it was started then.

Removing it is not an option I think :S

Regardless of removing it, it certainly isn't up to date.

I've been on 8 Wars for the past month or two, and I've attended at least 4 or 5 Wars in that time.

1. We can't take it off.
2. No one is judging you based on your wars.
3. It's low for everyone.

I think it should be an option to have it instead of it being automatic. I mean it's okay for those that want to show off what they do for the clan but I don't think it should be imposed on people. That's just me.

Hey, I noticed that I don't have any....lol I've probably been to more wars than majority of you but that's cool. I thought I'd have at least ONE if it started in September, but I guess not. Even better...got to keep the streak alive.

so?...shouldn't you ask members before doing something like this? and how can it be coded into forums if i had that badge for like only 2 days, that means some1 added it to my profile, so you can put it off the same way you added it.

besides, you see^^people don't want it, and it should be optional just like the awards. I'm 100% sure robbie could do that.

He means removing it from a single member instead of from everyone.

It's coded into the forums like your post count is coded into the forums, you couldn't ask for your post count to be taken off from underneath your avatar, sure you can edit it, but the actual item "Post Count: ####" will still be there.

It can either be on everyone's profile or no one's.

However, I do agree with you Bam, I don't think it should be there at all, it should be an optional item, that you can put in your sig or something. We already have the event attendance item to monitor activity, we don't need another pointless .png or whatever, filling up our profile.

Make it an optional badge that people can put in their sig, and if people have incorrect ones in then remove them.

I totally agree with this....

I gave WG a huge amount of my time and yet I can't get access to a forum because of a 'lack of dedication'.

Argh so much to reply to.
Ok here goes:

QUOTE
I've been on 8 Wars for the past month or two, and I've attended at least 4 or 5 Wars in that time.

^ You have to start checking that you are on the war attendance on the recaps Vince, that is the only way to sort that , it is not the staffs fault, with over 40 people at wars it is impossible to keep track of everyone.

Rick and Bam:

This is very hard to explain... you guys don't know how the system works and i'm going to try to briefly explain it, to show you why it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove it for one or even two members.
It's removed for everyone or no one i'm afraid. Because:

It is coded in exactly the same way as the attendance bar, system is.
When a war attendance is posted in a recap, the staff member calls up the attendance page and when he adds the attendance and hits "submit" the information is AUTOMATICALLY updated onto the forums (onto the profiles of every single member) by Robbie's server.
A staff member does not manually add the badge to everyone's profile, when you reach the allotted number of wars, it is AUTOMATICALLY added to your profile badge thing.

I did ask members before I made the badges and before Robbie, Joe and I worked on the set-up.
The staff, all council and all raid leaders and event leaders agreed to the system. They thought it was a good idea and so I made the badges, with Quikdrawjoe's support and Robbie spent hours making it work.

He did an awesome job.
Just ignore it if you don't want to.

The issue over starting from September, when oldskool members have attended many more wars in previous months/years has been raised before.

But since there is no ACCURATE record of previous wars, we had to start from September.

Now let's say no more about this.

Joe I laughed in real life. I don't think any one is desparate for porn. It is just the principal of the reason to keep them from being eligible to join that forum. I myself am not willing to show my private information to join there.

I think the counter was added to keep track of who doesn't attend wars by all members. So it looks badly and they can harass you if your number is low. Yet another way of forcing war to be important in WG. Just my thoughts on it.

My number is not as bad as some of the others.

George, if that's the case, shouldn't someone be able to set his number of wars to zero to make his badge go away?

They're emeritus, they can't have every right and privilege an active member has. It's the principle of it, not fair for an active member to be active and involved and an emeritus can have the same privileges without the responsibility. rolleyes.gif
