I will have put about 40 hours into preparation for the anniversary at least, when it hits.
In return, I get petty signups. We don't even have 8 teams (32 people) for the clan quest which is costing me so much time and effort.

What on Earth is going on? I am giving so much and I expect some dedication in return. People who go "I'll make it if I'm on" make me so mad. Gear your weekends around this anniversary.

Seriously, I'm so lenient when it comes to every other event, even wars. But this is the clan's BIG thing that comes once a year. Sure live IRL, but don't just attend if it takes your fancy. SIGN UP unless you are seriously booked out IRL.

Especially Day 3. Our recruitment for the next year will rely on Day 3 so if we get shit attendance, I'm going to stop trying so hard.

Here's the deal. If you aren't going to commit yourselves to this clan, I won't bother working so hard. Why should I be working my ass off for a bunch of lazy people?

If its an 11pm event, it's not too late. It's a weekend and there's no school the next day. Deal with it. Get up early if need be. Make a bit of IRL effort. 7am starts... many people wake up that early for school! Like I said, if you want WG to be successful, make it a higher priority.

I encourage people to attend to IRL first, but there's almost no harm in getting up a little early or staying up until midnight. Other clans get a much better attendance than us because they take their events seriously.

And now there's a bunch of people on here who I see on the forums quite regularly and on the IRC somewhat, who tell me they have limited time for RS. If you have time to browse the forums and be on the IRC, you have time to be on Runescape.

I have to say I am majorly disappointed in the lack of commitment to the anniversary. Wars, meh. They pale in light of this olympic-style festival of events. Seasoned members should know that I am usually not strict when it comes to not attending events, but this time, I want to see a return on my hard work.

Attendance is to be taken for every anniversary event and any member who doesn't attend at least one event (and I'm thinking of making it two events) gets kicked from WG on the grounds of not having enough time or interest to commit to the clan seriously. Emeritus are included. They need to attend at least one. One of the conditions of taking the emeritus rank means logging into Runescape for WG occassionaly, when you are needed.

You are needed.

Summary

Everyone has to be present for at least one anniversary event... nevermind make it two. Emeritus have to be present for one. If you can't attend any of those events, you are too busy IRL to be in WG.

I should be able to make it to almost all of them. Good points though.

Well said.
Not going to events is a slap in the face to the clan leaders.
Being active on irc and the forums is only part of the commitment.

Agreed. I've also believed that too many people put down the "work" excuse. When I see it EVERY SINGLE WAR, it gets old fast. What do you give to the clan. Sure, you attend a 15 minute long skilling event during week, maybe even happen to "disappear" halfway through it, but that is not enough. Commitment to this clan is found in these Anniversary events. We need MAXIMUM attendance.

It is such a slap in my face. I work overly hard for WG, harder than any other leader, and I'm not expecting anyone to put in the same amount of work. I would never ever want people to give to WG to my extent.

My requirements for your commitment are very low. So if you don't meet them, it's just the biggest insult and I will be doing my dignity a favour by kicking you.

I support this thread.

In all the clans i've been in Lordy is definatly the most dedicated person in any of them.
We can atleast do our part to make WG what it is.

Sure, I wake up at 5 for school, but the point of a weekend is so I can get the sleep that I don't on the weekdays. xD So sorry, I won't be waking up early for Day Two. neko2.gif

And Day Four I'll be out all day. Won't be able to make any of the events that day.

Other than that, I'll be able to attend every other day. (Not including 6 or 7 yet, because I don't know the details on those days. neko2.gif)

I always try to attend as many events as I can, but my parents have odd schedules and occasionally wake up at 4-5 AM, so I don't want to risk losing my computer for a couple weeks. I do try my hardest to attend other events though. It's good to see you doing all this for us, and depressing at the same time that people try to take advantage of the leniency of the event requirements. :S

Once a year Vince.
I get up at 5am for every motherfucking war on a weekend. Please, you have Christmas break to sleep in as much as you want. Not really a great excuse, but since you are attending the other ones, I'm sort of OK with it.

I'll be attending almost all if not all of the events even though I have to get up at 5:30 for one of them. I figure Aussies can do it all the time I can do it once. hash.png

P.S. The anniversary gear would be useful since the other pic won't show up on my computer.

If my exam for some reason gets cancelled on the saturday of the clan quest, I'll be there. If not well, then there's another reason to add to your list of why I hate economics.

I read it and accept it.

I will try as hard as I can to attend some of the events, but if I really can't make it to 2 events..I will be quite disappointed if I get kicked out of the clan..after 3 years of loyal membership.

I can only ever try to come to these events, but right now my life is so hectic...I get on different times of day each night, and never for very long.

I will try harder to make it, and I apologize for any I don't show up to.

I'm sorry, but since my classes have started, my priorities have changed.
I didn't notice that the Anniversary was even on... but I'll see if I can attend any events.

Just remember that I'm f2p, broke and virtually gearless.

Unfortunately I will not be able to commit to any, I am moving into my own place this week, and my attendance will be decided upon how fast my ISP sets up my internet connection (as I know they state on their website it could take up to 21 days). I will see what I can pull off, I may be able to sneak onto Claire's Mother's computer at some stage to attend one or two. After I have my internet connection and freedom of my own home, I should become super active (and up to all hours once the baby is born end of january).

Perhaps then, you don't have enough time for WG.
