That of our 120 members, less than 20 bother to show up for the photo shoot?
Eliminate the 45 emeritus (who often wonder why they don't get equal treatment to every other member, and don't pay attention to their commitment to the clan), and you are left with 81 supposedly active members. Round down to 80 for safety. Then minus 10 for those f2p players.

Am I so foolish as to believe that 75% of the members were unable to make what was an important clan event? I am no fool. People aren't caring.

I shall be taking immediate stance against inactivity tonight, with DRASTIC measures taken. If you don't get a PM from myself this weekend, consider yourself appropriately active, and thank you.

I expect to expel at least 5-6 members over the next 24 hours following an inactive sweep.

There is no way I will let WG insult me as such again. 16 people to a major anniversary event. I will not, not for a minute, believe that 60+ members were all occupied IRL. I MIGHT believe that on Christmas Day, and Easter and New Year, but not any other day of the year.

Prepare for the biggest inactivity sweep WG has seen in 2008, and the most unforgiving one in WG's proud history.

May I further add, another 40 or so will be warned with the promise of emeritus or expulsion should their inactivity persist.

I tried to be there as much as I could. Real life interfered just a little because of family. I'll shoot them next time.

Their hasn't been anywhere close to 81 supposedly active members since I've been here.

This will be a good sweep for the clan.

I sometimes wonder why people bother making a commitment if they can't fulfill it. The staff work their arses off so everyone can have fun yet when no one shows up it's depressing. Do we really have to ASK you to play runescape, the game this clan is based on?

Just come to events. It's not hard.

In school. =\
Come on guys. These are the anniversary events. We need maximum attendance. Other than once or twice a month full out wars, we don't ask that much of a requirement. We NEED you to go to these events. Even if you don't understand the historical importance of them, do it anyways and attend. Don't be selfish. Do something for the clan once in a while.

Well needed I suppose, but it was at rather...for lack of better term bad time, I mean people with lives are gonna be out and about on Friday night. But I guess all those types are Emeritus so...well needed. Guess that last paragraph I wrote was useless hashdown.gif.png.

Yes it was rather poor attendance ot say the least. I'm new to the clan and I know that our attendance sucks. I think one of the problems is that people keep forgetting about them, and the fact that we have so many people scattered throughout the different timezones. I'm not sure how we could do abetterjob of reminding people, we already do a fine job and people have to remind themselves we're all big boys and girls here. Make sure you use the party hub links if there are any.

But again, semi bad time, but still no excuse for that low of attendance. I predict a good turnout tomorrow hash.png. And sign up for team noob or something hash.png.

My only problem with some (not all) of our staff is yes they do plenty of things but at the same time they let our IRC go to the dogs. 90% of them are doing something besides RS, umm hi, RS clan, you might want to play it sometimes. Also, our IRC especially the lobby needs to have some measure of order at all times, you've been given power, use it for something other than kicking me for being NH.

I believe this (the activity sweep) is long overdue and props to Elias for stepping up and implementing it. We'll see how effective it really is though.

I think I got all my timezones wrong...again. I read the first day at the very top and applied that to my timezone (GMT+8). In any case, my reasons still applied, except for the school one (used for the photo shoot). Instead I had a dental appointment at 9AM which I was almost late for on Saturday morning.

I've actually had a very busy week and haven't been online much at all except for last night.

I rarely feel shameful of WG.
But last night I felt that shame.

Randy + Elias put so much effort into planning it all and organising all the events.
They don't ask for any gratitude.
All they ask for is for people to actually attend the events they spent so long planning.

And 17 people show?
Nice.

I've only just gotten back from Tasmania about .... 15 minutes okay. But i will be going into hospital for a few days because on the cruise over (On Spirit of Tasmania) It got really really rough, and we all got thrown around. I got really sea sick, vommiting alot still. And so going in for a few scans and have to get a drip put in for nutrients and hydration cause i can't keep anything down and also am getting sicker cause i can't keep down my normal meds. I will try and get back online an active ASAP. Probably next week something. Hopefully be out of hospital Wednesday Thursday if not sooner, but have to go to Melbourne on the Saturday and Sunday =/

I'm not concerned at the present time with excuses.
I'm concerned with facts.
If you missed this event, it's one out of a long streak of inactivity.
I will be running my sweep according to statistics, not reasons.

If your lifestyle is too busy for events, it is too busy for WG.
The emeritus rank exists to alleviate some of that pressure, but not all.

I'm not going to insult you with a made up excuse of why i wasn't there, im an honest person and so i shall give an honest reason: i had no idea that the event was today, i was sure that all events was was on tomorrow, like they where last weekend, i also have a friend up from the city that i only get to see a couple a times a year and i lost track of time last night, when i was about to check for the event, we had already shut down the computer ready for bed, i was sure that the event wasn't on earlier today, i was horrified to see that i had missed it when i finally got up, so all i can do is appologise for not attending, and i will be at tomorrows events 100%

Photo shoot attendance was depressing :/

I had to go after it because it was late, and I'm really sick and tired.

i was working if u want to kick me or stick em as emiretius then fine, yes my irl life is too busy for events except major wars. im trying to mkae some decent cash during december. ill try to get to the events i can but as iv said in inactivty forums my work is VERY busy at this time, we do 40-80ppl a day and that soaks up all your energy and when you get home you just want to sleep. why did i miss the photoshoot? i feel asleep after a 50 hour week, its one of the only nights i have off.

I feel bad for saying this, but I know I should tell the truth.

Since I lost Gusmighster I have never felt the same commitment I had towards WG. It just didn't feel the same, I wouldn't get hyped up for wars like I had done, I wouldn't thoroughly check the events forum every day, I wouldn't check back to the forums every half hour.

Which is why I became Emeritus.

From now on I promise to attend at least 80% of the major f2p events.
