1.33 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder (OR .5 teaspoon cream of tartar and .25 teaspoon baking soda)
0.5 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter (OR margarine)
1 cup baking cocoa
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups sugar
1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract (or 0.75 teaspoons if 2 fold)
1 teaspoon almond extract (secret ingredient wut wut)

Optional:
1.0 cup chopped maraschino cherries (OR 1.0 cups of chocolate chips)
0.5 cup chopped nuts (I like them just plain though)

1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.

2. Melt the butter/margarine in a large saucepan (not too hot or it'll separate).

3. Stir in cocoa until smooth and remove from heat.

4. Begin preheating your stove to 350 degrees.

5. Put the eggs in the mixer and beat them up. Add cocoa mixture from step 3.

6. Next add the sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract.

7. Add the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) and any preferred optional ingredients.

8. Pour mixture into a sprayed a 13x9 inch baking pan and put it in the stove for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

9. Test the brownies (should pull away from the sides of the pan just slightly; also stick in a toothpick; nothing should be sticking to it when you pull it back out). When done, remove from the stove and place in a safe place to cool.

10. Icing: Just blend everything together and spread it on top.

Icing:
0.25 cups butter (OR margarine), softened (warmed to room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or 0.5 teaspoon if 2 fold)
2 cups of confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons baking cocoa
0.25 cups milk (might not need as much, add slowly; water also viable substitute)
0.25 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Deliciousness in a pan.
