Ha, ya it's just Geo. Installed Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon" on my laptop and I have to say its about a billion times more user friendly than Vista.

Plus how many OS"s are out there that are COMPLETELY FREE.

Ya if you have time to piss around with, give this a shot. Some of the visual effects and user interface features are amazing. laugh.gif

btw, don't mess with partitions if you have no idea what you're doing as i fucked one of mine up. Luckily i made a back up of it for this occasion lol.

Hi Georgio.
I run Ubuntu 7.10 aswell. =)
It's quite nice, eh?
I've been using Linux for 3-4 years but Ubuntu is the best I've found.
How are you?

This is good news. Nice job guys!

Personally, I have a dual-boot windows xp sp1/Debian installation. Sadly, I still haven't been able to use debian instead of windows for everything.

My main problem is fonts - I have an LCD, and everything is nice and sharp - which is bad if your using anti-aliased fonts. Not to say I haven't figured out how to turn off anti-aliasing, but when I do, theres several pixels out of place on pretty much all fonts(and so it gives me eyestrain trying to read it). I need to figure out how to set up TrueType fonts, and then use windows fonts or something.
