Yeah they didn't even say. I'm guessing 240 GB...which would be 10 less than what I had on my HDD. I'd be shooting for 500 GB but that sounds like it'd be more than $250?

I wouldn't pay it, but then again I'm technical and can do it myself, but SSDs are generally going for less than a dollar a gig in terms of price, so it depends what they're charging you for labor. When I did tech work in retail we would generally charge $60 to swap out a hard drive with a new one, plus the cost of the drive. There'd be a bit more if they wanted data transferred, but if not then it's fairly cheap.

So I finally got it to an independent shop that works with my school. It costs $250 so far to replace it with a SSD. And it'll cost more if they need to go further to retrieve my data. Is this reasonable?

What size SSD?

Anyone remember or keep in contact with Buffyrose or Grey Tuna? Haven't seen them since BC days on Aerie Peak

No but you did answer my internal question as to why I randomly have a character on that server.

I've stopped playing for a month or two but that's where all of my characters are ##

I think you might have been a part of that as well. I believe my Druid alt that is like lvl 68 or so is there. Too bad after the recent news about Flying I probably won't be going back.

Not active currently, but I imagine I'll be back before long. Seeing some interesting stuff for 6.2 I'd like to experience.

Dark Souls is good and all, but the real question is have you played Bloodborne?
I fucking knew you'd be here

I'm fucking ALWAYS here. Lurking in the shadows.

Real Life Discussion / Re: Back Surgery or Nah?

My sister had the metal rod surgery before, and she wasn't able to bend properly for a good amount of time (2 years or so) but was able to eventually. I was looking into the laser surgery, but I'm having issues finding one that would help with scoliosis. it would help with the herniated discs and swelling though.

The main issue with the chiropractic is that she even said she doesn't know for sure if she can fix it. after the six weeks is when i'm able to see another specialist about it. i'm just asking anywhere and everywhere at this point for opinions. I'm also looking around for support groups of people who've had back surgeries to see their opinions on it.

Yeah, wasn't sure what if anything laser surgery could do for scoliosis. Hopefully I'll be able to get it once I can afford it for my back. I definitely recommend you get the surgery though, it'll be a long road to recovery but I'd take that when the fix is a sure thing  instead of only a maybe. Fortunately, Medicine is advanced enough that the complications are significantly lower (but not zero!) than even a few years ago.

I know the feeling, I've got a messed up back as well. It completely destroys your life. I basically have to roll out of bed in the morning and fall onto the floor to loosen myself up enough to move. I've been hospitalized a few times because my back muscles have locked up so hard that I can't breathe properly.

Have you looked around for potential different types of surgery? I know here in America there is a place (not sure on the price though) that does a ton of spine surgery with lasers and has people up and walking in a day or two. May not be good for all the work you need done, but there may be different operations you could undergo.

Chiropractor is good because of no surgery, but with as extensive as your issues are and given that there are serious structural issues at play here this would be something I'd opt towards surgery to fix permanently.

I've had it since Alpha, played a lot then but only played a tiny bit with friends since it hit beta. Doesn't help that my desktop is out of commission right now and so I can only play on my laptop.

Jagex said today that Google plan to end support for Java and some other plugins very soon. So if you use Chrome to play you'll have to use the client or switch browsers.
If you use Chrome within SwiftKit go to View > Settings and turn off Chrome, this will mean it uses IE instead.

Wasn't IE dying or was that a rumour I heard?
it's being renamed but not dying.

It's like Clan America -> Synergy

It's a new browser being built from the ground up, the software package known as Internet Explorer is being discontinued entirely. Less work to start fresh than keep trying to fix IE's issues. More similar to two models of cars being made by the same manufacturer. Similar but completely different cars.

1. I'm decent enough at triathlons that I've qualified to compete at the national level 2 years in a row (USA) - my dream is to someday make it to the olympics.
2. I've lived in 15ish different households in my 23 years alive - Shortest time spent at one being 8 months, longest being a few years.
3. I still don't have a driver's license despite being able to get one for forever
Teach me to have 99 Agi IRL and I'll help you get a license. How do you not even have one?

Hi matt ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## I just never bothered - I might be getting an out of state job soon (like an actual career) so I got my permit recently and I'm getting my license soon. Just being at college and having work close enough to bike to or use buses just resulted in not totally needing one haha. Just need to make sure my parallel parking is some good shit now!

Hi Keith ####################. So, you train my IRL agility and I'll get you 99 parallel parking/driving. K?

There's an issue with the latest version, Jagex is working on a fix. You'll need to roll back to the previous version.

Uninstall your current version and install the previous version instead.

Edit: here's a link, just click it to start the DL.

Gonna need to see verification of this. Just saying.  :3
