Help!
no horror or war films please :)
and no apocalypse stuff either... they creep me out
basically, nothing scary/too violent. thanks ^^
I'll only give my top 5
Inception
Shawshank
The Prestige
The Departed
Into the Wild
All must watch's imo.
Shawshank redemption (Like the guy above me)
EL Laberinto del fauno (Pan's labyrinth, 100% in spanish, get it with subtitles though its awesome)
Avatar (duh)
Hurt Locker (Although I think Avatar was better, great great movie)
The Interpreter
Dark Knight (joker was such a good character)
i agree with a couple the others have posted
the hurt locker
inception (loong)
if you want comedy, theres nothing like watching sacha baron cohen :p
The Bourne series (Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum) are always a good watch but most people have seen them now....
Newer films that are good:
Limitless
Unknown
The Next Three days
I quite liked The Sorcerers Apprentice (Probably not a great film, but I like Nicholas Cage :P )
The Chronicles of Narnia is a good 'fantasy' series if thats what you want
The Experiment.
Makes you wonder who you are.

That movie was sick... though why does the fat guy always die in every movie about a prison (Shawshank Redemption too)
First of all: he said no war movies, and everyone posts The Hurt Locker. That's a war movie. So is Avatar. And Chronicles of Narnia too believe it or not.
Alright, well you said no horror, war, apocalypse, scary or violent films. Let's see...
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Stranger Than Fiction
Donnie Darko
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Inception
2001: A Space Odyssey
Schindler's List (I guess that's kind of a war movie and pretty scary and somewhat violent and is very horrible...but still, it's a great movie)
There's tons of good comedies out there (Animal House, Step Brothers, Superbad, The Blues Brothers, anything Monty Python)
But then again, there's a bunch of great movies that don't meet your criteria. Remember: conflict is entertainment...A Clockwork Orange, Apocalypse Now Redux, V for Vendetta, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Lord of the Rings..I could go on and on...
And The Hurt Locker is a freakin terrible movie. If you want to know why, I'll gladly list every stupid little thing that's wrong with it.
if you watch the expiriment you better watch das expiriment much better :)
the matrix ! al 3!
requim for a dream
The Human centipede....
The Human centipede 2....
Actually you will regret watching these :/ kik

Donnie Darko would be considered scary. Movie gave me the creeps.
Lol I liked avatar... What I meant was no over-bloody movies, No guts exploding or whatever x(
I enjoyed Limitless too JC.
Other movies that just came out that I have seen:
Pirates 4 - Don't need to say much, it's a great series.
Water for Elephants - Good for a chick flick.
Thor - Awesome effects, not so great movie.
Hall Pass - Eh, has it's funny bits, but quite boring.
Limitless - Great watch, a lot like 21 if you liked that.

Limitless was a great movie. The ending was done very well. I remember watching it and thinking "This better not be the ending". Well it wasn't. ;D
X - Men: First Class
My favourite movie of the year so far, definately a must watch.
Do you like musicals?
Rent is a fantastic, contemporary musical set in New York in the 1990s, fantastic music + plot.

Donnie darko is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, all these little cult fags who love it don't even get the whole time vortex and 28 day cycle and shit, too complicated and not explained enough.
Also - The Chronicles of Narnia is a "Family/Fantasy" - come at me bro.
You mad bro? I think there are bigger things to worry about than a handful of people liking Donnie Darko. Like how Michael Bay keeps getting work.
And I'm sure that's what they would say about Narnia. But I guess any movie with a chick getting mauled by a lion is good in my book.
Inception
Beautiful Mind
Donnie Darko
The Men Who Stare at Goats
^ You wanna know everything...that's all you need to watch.
Shaun of the Dead
Monty Python's The Holy Grail
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Lord of the Rings
Star Wars (preferably the original 3)
Scary Movie 3 and 4 (the only good recent horror parody movies)
South Park Movie
Team America
V for Vendetta
Most of them are comedies, but this is all I can think of at the moment. Plenty I'm forgetting.
Suckerpunch
Repo! The Genetic Opera
The Pursuit of Happiness
Scott Pilgrim VS The World
Billy Madison
Death Note trilogy (1,2, L change the world)
Norbit
Tron(The most recent one)
The Hangover 1,2
Suckerpunch is absolute shit
Green Street Hooligans, if you don't count it as a war movie
No particular order.
Hangover 2 2011
No Strings Attached 2011
Scott Pilgrim VS The World 2010
Inception 2010
Date Night 2010
The Other Boleyn Girl 2008
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 2006
Spirited Away 2001
Requiem For A Dream 2000
Boondock Saints 1999
You say no specific order but you list them in reverse chronological order :p

LOL I meant by no specific order in favoritism, sorry.
Dont say sorry lol was just a funny observation :p
Hahaha okay, It's funny because after I posted it I was like wait...I did put it in order......but it's okay I did it chronologically so it could be easier to find for some people. Hahaha =P
Shutter Island.
500 days of summer is really good IMO.

I'm going to say one war movies/series that you HAVE to see no matter what.
Saving private ryan and Band of brothers..
I am number 4
The Boat that rocked
Scott pilgrim
Shaun of the dead
I got some good movies to watch on a friday night when bored
Human centipede 1
Human centipede 2
Train
A Serbian film
Na but really, you should watch "Död snö". I think it's called Dead snow, not sure if it has an english title lols. It's a norwegian zombie movie, but it is hilarious. It starts out pretty serious, but then it turns into a pure comedy movie.
