Gaming / Call Of Duty: Ghosts

So the other day I decided I wanted to get back into FPS'. Thought CoD was the main option.

Obviously this is where the scene is at but is the game as bad as some make it out to be, or is it the typical "new cod = bad" like every other one?
Just wondering because I plan on buying it if it isn't too bad.

Sir Alex has decided to retire at the end of this football season?

Thoughts on him?
Thoughts on his successor?
How will United do without him?

No doubt he's one of the best managers to have graced football, if not the best. I <3 SAF.

Haven't followed Mourinho and Chelski so I would like to see him here. SAF has left big boots to fill and has left a lot of live up to and I think Moyes isn't big enough for it. In saying that, if Mourinho is 95% going to Chelsea then I would love to see Ole Gunnar back at United since everyone loves him!

Unless Mourinho comes I can't see us beating City next season unless the rumours of Ronaldo or Bale are true.

Introduction
(1.0)

When it comes to P2P, many people are left confused and worried.
However, it isn't as difficult as most make it to be.
There are many variations in gear with many factors to take into account.
A common myth about P2P is that it is more expensive.
With certain styles, it can be costly, but the rewards are very substantial.
This guide will try to help find the perfect gear setup for you.

Factors to consider
(1.1)

When making your gear setup, you must consider several factors:

Money
You must be able to return in your gear multiple times
Leaders would rather have a member return 10 times in +100k gear then die once and lose +1m gear. Be smart and cost-efficient. Dont worry too much about seers rings and other minor things. Make sure that the gear is worth the cost.

Make sure you are ALWAYS stocked. Even if you can't have mage gear prepared, you should always have a d'hide. Make sure you arrange your P2P Tab to return quickly. You should be able to gear up within 30 seconds. Align your gear so you can click in a row

You want to be able to be fully geared within 2 talks to the bank (one talk to put on armour, then other talk to fill up inventory)

Keep your most common gear setup in a line for fast banking. If you sometimes use a variation of the gear (ex, mystic instead of splitbark), keep it onto the side.
Example:

If you have money issues, there will be an alternative to about everything.

Examples: Splitbark instead of Mystic. Pineapple pizzas instead of sharks. D'hide instead of Rune.

Usefulness
Make sure every item will be used
Do not make things too difficult on yourself. If you're not experienced, dont try to bring all fighting styles and 6 brews. Chances are, you'll be sticking to one style for the majority of the fight and maybe a support style. Anyways, whats the chance that you will be able to drink 8 full brews and tank for that entire period? If you had enough time to last that long, your aggressors would probably be too bored and would have already found another target, or you're already dead. Trust me, you will rarely finish 8 brews in multi. Be smart, and fix your inventory based on the most common scenario.

Also, make sure you weigh-up the disadvantages of the gear. Sure, a defender will make you slightly more accurate and maybe raise your max by one, but it also leaves you very vulnerable to attack. Maybe you take an accumulator instead of a god cape because you plan to use range as your main style.

Example: Shields over defenders.

Fighting Style
Make sure your gear complements all the fighting styles you will use
Generally, you want to have 2 styles. In a 1 v 1, the person who has more attack styles will beat the other when both are praying protection prayers. This will allow you to get more kills, and make you much more deadly.

This is especially important for mages. You NEVER want to be pure mage. You will get targeted often. In the case that you are getting harassed, it would be better to switch to melee or range gear. This discourages your attacker, reduces the damage you take, and allows you to still be a threat to your opponents.

Make sure your gear complements your fighting styles. Some items will weaken your other fighting styles, but make sure it is still acceptable.

Picking your gear
(1.2)

When picking your gear, you must first choose your attack styles.

Melee
Advantages:
- Deals the most heavy damage
- Best special weapons; able to quickly try to KO a target
- Good tanking ability
Disadvantages:
- Must get close to deal damage (useless in hill-to-hill battles)

Range
Advantages:
- Good damage
- Distant attack
- Good tanking ability
Disadvantages:
- One of the most common overhead prayer is protect from range
- Lack of a real powerful special (Dbow special isnt as good as melee specials)

Mage:
Advantages:
- Allows the team to get kills
- Distant attack
- Devastating multi-target spells (GREAT for hill-to-hill)
Disadvantages:
- Primary target - you will be piled if you are exposed
- Poor tanking capability - you will take much more damage
- Lack of specials

This is why we aim to have at least 2 attack styles. This will allow you to deal effective damage no matter what prayer, and give you a greater chance of kills, and cancel out disadvantages that a single style would have. Consider which style is going to be your primary attack, and gear based on that information. Below are a list of common combinations.

Hybrid Styles
(1.3)

Melee/Range - For dangerous situations, range allows you to safely deal damage. In close range situations, Melee will deal tons of damage.

Melee/Mage - My preffered style. Melee will deal more consistent damage than any other style, and mage will prevent your target from escaping and allows you to deal heavy damage to clusters and distant targets. Meleeing allows you to deal heavy damage when the enemy closes in, when maging is dangerous.

Range/Mage - Range gear allows you to safely fight when maging is dangerous. Maging allows you to deal heavy damage when you are safe.

Protect Items
(1.4)

After you choose your style, you can choose a "protect" item. This is the one item you protect when you die. Make sure you are confident in your protecting abilities!

TIPS:
- Always keep your prayer above 20; re-potting any lower gives a greater risk of losing your item if smited.
- Leave protect item on the entire raid incase you forget; Waste of prayer, but with constant altar passings and the risk, its worth the lost points.

Common protect items:

Good

- Dragonfire shields - Great for maging. Allows mages to become much more resistant to rush specials. Splitbark + a DFS allows nearly as much defence as a rune set.
- Whip - Deals the most consistant damage. Great for long fights.
- Godswords - Deals the most instant damage. Good for Koing targets before they are prepared. Even if the specials dont kill the target, Godswords can be used to quickly shock and suprise the target.

Mediocre

- Barrows Tanking Gear - Provides good defensive bonus. DFS is more effective for mages because it provides them good defence while in mage gear.
- Dark Bows - Deals heavy range damage with special. Regular attack isnt as effective as a crossbow, so I try to stay away from this weapon. If your specials fail, then the dark bow is pretty much sub-par for the rest of the fight. 2 specials.
- Claws - Deals heavy damage in a very short amount of time. In a multi-fight, most players will unable to survive this if the specials hit. However, unless you have a scimitar, you wont be able to deal consistant melee damage.
- PvP Weapons - Deals heavy consistant damage with good specials. However, they are costly.
For each setup, just pick a "protect item" to replace one of the items in the picture.
Gear can be tweaked.

Specials

Gear Setups

(1.5)

These are my prefered gear setups. You can tweak them if you want. Downgrade if you dont have the specified item.

Helmets: Neitzinot (overall) or Fremminick Helmets (Style specific)
Body: Black D'hide (Melee/Range) or Splitbark/Mystic (Mage)
Legs: Rune/Black D'hide (Melee/Range) or Splitbark/MysticMage)
Shields: Rune/Granite (Melee/Range) or Spirit Shield (Mage)
Granite is 20k cheaper then rune. The significance is higher range defence for slightly lower defence while giving a higher negative mage bonus. Recommended for Melee/Range, but not for Mages
Amulet: Glory/Power. Glory includes offensive bonus while power only has defence
Boots: Climbing (Melee) or Snakeskin (Range) or Mystic (Mage)
Ring: Ring of Life.
If you can't beat them, join them.
Gloves: Rune gloves-> D'hide/Mystic (Barrows is too expensive)
Cape: Accumulator/Teamcape (Melee/Range) or Godcape (Mystic)

Items

Eating Guide

Tanking in P2P can be hard, but with several eating tricks, its not impossible. These tricks will probably one of the most important skills you learn in P2P.

Food
Shark - Heals 20HP, ~1k each
Most basic P2P Food.

Pineapple Pizza - Heals 22HP (2 bites), ~500 each
Very cheap P2P food for great healing ability. The first bites of pizzas are eaten much more quickly. When eaten effectively, you can heal as fast (maybe faster) then healing with just sharks. Plus, it's cheaper.

How to eat pizzas effectively

Summer Pies - Heals 22 HP (2 Bites) and +10% energy, ~700 each
Cheap P2P food for great healing ability and energy. Great for situations where you cannot use a terrorbird or bull ant. The first bites of pies are eaten much more quickly. When eaten effectively, you can heal as fast (maybe faster) then healing with just Shark. Plus, its cheaper. Try to bring just a few (3?) for emergency energy

Potions
Consuming potions are different from consuming food. Potions can be drank in the same turn when eating food when the potion is clicked on second. Immediately after eating a food, click on the potion. It only works if you eat the food first (not potion then food). Very powerful for tanking when combined with saradomin brews (Shark + Brew = ~36HP in one turn).

Combat potions (Attack, Strength, Defence, Range, Magic)
Raises the corresponding stat. A must have for fights, although magic potions aren't quite as useful

Super antipoison
Cures poison and grants a temporary immunity. Great for 1 itemers.

Prayer potion
Restores prayer. Try to drink this when you reach 20 prayer to prevent losing your "protect item"

Super Restore potion
Restores prayer and stats. Try to drink this when you reach 20 prayer to prevent losing your "protect item". Very useful for countering brews' negative effects. A must have when bringing brews.

Sanfew Serum
Must be bought or made. Has the same effects as a Super Restore potion, but also cures and grants immunity for disease and poison. Good if you really want to save that one inventory space, but gathering snake weed is cumbersome.

Saradomin Brew
Lowers offensive stats while healing and granting a large defensive bonus. Great for tanking. Use the potion trick above in combination with food for quick healing. Bring super restore potions to counteract the negative effects. Look at the video above for a visual example

Other

Games necklace
A must have. Allows for quick travel around the wilderness, and quick banking. Whenever you are low on food, just run into Clanwars and teleport to BH, quickly bank, and teleport back. Great for resupplying.

Summons
Only should be used in deep wilderness. Bring a combat familiar (fighting), BoB (Tanking/fighting long), or Terrorbird/Bull ant for energy. Remember to bring scrolls.

Example Gear Setups
(1.7)

Melee/Range Setup (Straightforward, not much variation)
Notes:
- Scimmy can be swapped for a "protect item" weapon (see above)
- Bring a spear to use specials when low potential

Melee/Mage Setups (Personal preference - Good melee, mage, or defence?)
Notes:
- Scimmy can be swapped for a "protect item" weapon (see above)
- Bring a spear to use specials when low potential
- Bring at least +50 spells
Great Melee offence, decent defence, decent mage offense, cheap

Great Defense, decent mage offence, decent melee defense, cheap

Great Mage offence, decent melee offence, decent defense, expensive

Range/Mage Setups

Notes:
- Scimmy can be swapped for a "protect item" weapon (see above)
- Bring a spear to use specials when low potential

Welfare Setups
(1.7)

For people who have financial trouble. For people that DO have the money, you are to use the other gear setups.

Helmets: Rune (Melee/Range) or Moonclan/Mystic (Mage)
Body: Black D'hide (Melee/Range) or Splitbark/Moonclan (Mage)
Legs: Black D'hide (Melee/Range) or Splitbark/Moonclan (Mage)
Shields: Granite Shield (Melee/Range) or God Book
Granite is 20k cheaper then rune. The significance is higher range defence for slightly lower defence while giving a higher negative mage bonus.
Amulet: Power (Melee/Range) or Magic (Mage)
Boots: Climbing (Melee) or Snakeskin (Range) or Mystic (Mage)
Ring: Ring of Life.
If you can't beat them, join them.
Cape: Accumulator/Teamcape (Melee/Range) or Godcape (Mystic)

Welfare Mage

Welfare Melee/Range (Swap scim for C'Bow for range)

You could go even lower, but we're not homeless. You guys can afford this.

Fighting
(2.0)

Many people who are used to F2p are scared of all the dangerous of P2P. With Godswords and claws, many people are discouraged when they are quickly Koed. Although it is much more difficult to tank in P2P, it is also very easy to kill. Most fights will rely on numbers, skills/mages, organization, and tactics.

There are two kinds of fights:

Distant

These involve two clans holding a defensive position while trying to pick off members of the other clan. Two clans will usually hold a hill and try to weaken the enemy with ranged attacks. Between the two hills is no-man land; If you are caught frozen in this area, you will have a very high chance of being killed.

Usually this occurs with 2 clans that have solid numbers. Neither clan can really rush the other without taking losses.

Mage and Range are particularly strong at this type of combat. Meleers will be unable to attack without the risk of being stranded in no-man's land.

Most of these fights will lead into close range fights when one clan feels like they are strong enough to overwhelm the opponent, or one clan retreats.

If the other team rushes, make sure to ice as many of them in barrage as you can to limit the damage and allow your clan to pick them off. When rushing, you must force your way onto the hill. Dont stop to attack half way to the hill.

Close Range

This fight involves clans fighting in close range combat, with each clan holding a particular section of the cluster. There will usually be alot of confusion in this fight.

Usually the fight can be divided into 2 sections; A section mostly controlled by clan A and a section controlled by clan B. When piled, run through your clans section towards the back to draw your attackers into your clan section. This will make it easy for your clan to pick them as targets. Avoid going too deep into the enemy section.

------------ Melee/Range ------------
(2.1)

Distant

Pretty self explainatory. Just attack with range from your hill. Make sure you dont go too low on the hill; If the person you are attacking runs away, you will be lured to no-man's land. If anyone rushes close, feel free to melee.

Close Range

Take out your melee. You will be able to do tons of damage in a short time span. Remember to spam; its hard to find piles in P2P when the majority are ranging or maging. Don't wait all the time for a leader to call a pile; If you see a nearby exposed mage, call a pile on him.

However, be alert; in packed close-range fights, there will be many clusters of people. You may be under constant attack from barrages and chins. If this is the case and it becomes too dangerous, go towards the back and range. Throw chins at clusters of enemies, but becareful not to damage too many of your team.

------------ Melee/Mage ------------
(2.2)

Video example @ bottom of this section

Distant

Be alert and try to ice any enemies in no-man's land. Be careful; most people will quickly run back after attacking in an attempt to lure weaker opponents. Dont wait until you start moving to move back. As soon as you start the casting animation, use the minimap to run back.

Try to randomly cast barrages on the enemy hill. At many times, this will bring you towards the edge of no-man's land; As SOON as you start the casting animation, click back into the cluster to prevent being iced.

Close Range

This can be very dangerous for mages. Do NOT try to melee with mage gear if there are a good amount of enemies; you will get piled. Run towards the back or edge and cast barrages on clusters, but make sure that the enemys being barraged is more numerous then the number of allies being targeted.

If you get rushed, BARRAGE THAT SHIT. BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE; Keep an eye on your health, they may be doing the same to you. As long as you arent hurting TOO many teamates, barrage the living crap out of them. Make sure you're always targetting more enemies than teamates.

When its becoming to dangerous to mage, or you feel like dealing a bit more damage, switch to your melee gear and close in.  Remember to spam; its hard to find piles in P2P when the majority are ranging or maging. Don't wait all the time for a leader to call a pile; If you see a nearby exposed mage, call a pile on him.

When you feel pressured or if you are being constantly harrased, put your melee gear on and continue the fight.

Ancient Fury's Day out
Watch to get a visual example.
Notes:
00:15 - There is a large cluster of enemies on the opposite hill, so I barrage as much as I can. By the time they rush our hill, we have killed several of them just from barrages.
00:35 - The enemy begins to rush our hill, and my teamates retreat a bit more southward. I'm alone and relatively deep in "enemy" territory, so I stop maging because its too dangerous and put on my melee gear for defence.
01:05 - An example of hit-and-running maging. Quickly cast a spell on a visable target, then use the minimap to reterat to your hill. Many enemies that try to attack you are lured into no-man's land and are quickly killed by rangers and mages.

------------ Mage/Range ------------
(2.3)

Distant

Up to you. Basically just stay on your hill and mage/range onto the enemy hill. Don't get lured.

Continue to do hit and run attacks with barrages if they are clustered up. As SOON as you start the casting animation, click back into your team to prevent being iced.

If they rush you, BARRAGE THAT SHIT. BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE BARRAGE

Close Range

Barrage when there are clusters of enemies that outnumber your allies in the cluster. Stay near the edges of the fight.

When you feel pressured or if you are being constantly harrased, put your range gear on and continue the fight.

Tanking
(2.4)

Tanking in P2P is much more difficult in F2P. There is a greater variety of weapons to choose from, and they deal much more damage. Forget about tanking 20-30 people in F2P; All it takes is one or two to kill you instantly if you are not alert.

Armor
Armor has an important role in tanking. If you're using a welfare setup, there is a very high chance that you will get easily koed. Not many can tank a good amount of people in ~50 slash defence. Primarily, the majority of the damage you will take will be from Range or Melee. You will want good ranged defence and high melee defence. Try to have a decent slash defence if you can. An ideal tanking set should give you around +180 slash defence or so.

The torso is usually reserved for a black d'hide body, which gives a good mage defence while giving decent defence bonuses.

Mages have to be very alert to switch armor whenever they are in danger. If you are not fast enough, you have no hope of brewing your way out.

Prayers

As a general rule, it is best to pray range or melee. If it is a distance fight, such as hill to hill, it is smart to pray range. However, the majority of fast-kos will be because of melee(Dclaws/ags/dds) so you have to be alert of meleers aorund you.

Whenever you have 2 or more meleers on you, it is a good idea to switch to melee prayer unless theres an obviously overwhelming amount of rangers targetting you. If they have whips or godswords, it will probably hurt more then the other styles targeting you.

Pray mage when you are located within a cluster of tightly grouped people. The majority of the damage you will take will be from barrages. It is difficult for enemies to call pile on you if you're by so many people, so the chance of being picked off by other styles is low.

Consumables
This is probably the most important tip for tanking. The way you eat things are very important. This has already been explained in a previous section. (For more information type Ctrl+F and search for (1.6).)

In the situation where you are being speared, the key is to try to eat between the spears. Although sometimes it may be difficult, it is very possible. Spam click your main food if possible. Usually you wont have time to shark-brew in between spear specials, so just try your best by clicking on your highest healing piece of food.

Remember to always keep your prayer as high as possible without overdosing. I have 88 prayer and get about 28 points or so (I think), so I always try to repot around 40-50 prayer. One reason is to prevent you from being smited out of prayer. Another reason that instead of shark-brewing, you're forced to shark-restore to keep your prayer up. This means less HP recovery, meaning higher chance of getting killed.

Special Attacks
Damage specials - The majority of specials will be these. Not much to do but eat and hope you survive.
Dragon Scimitar - Removes overhead protection for 5 seconds. Stuff your face with sharks and brews. After about 2 brew-sharks, you should be able to turn on your prayer. The key is to not panic and get the prayer up as soon as possible without losing too much of your HP recovery. If you fail to get the prayer up, you will die so try your best to eat and pray at the same time.
Dragon Spear - Does not allow the target to click anything. This includes prayers, foods, movement (in most situations), etc. You have a very short time inbetween spears to try to click something. You probably wont have time to shark brew inbetween spears, so just try to eat your highest healing piece of food. Spam click it if neccessary. In most situations, if you get speared while being piled, you're screwed, but you can still last a decent amount of time. Dragon spears prevent the drinking of potions too, so its important to keep your prayer up high.

FAQS
Start pumping.
Q: How do you know when to push the enemy?
A: Wait for a leader to call any push into the enemy territory. If you go by yourself, you'll get dropped.

Q: I keep dying.
A: Most of this will come through experience. Review the tanking section. Make sure you are always on TS and listening carefully to the leaders instructions, and you will have a higher chance of survival.

Guides / Wilderness Locations and Vocabulary

Panda's Wilderness Guide

With the release of 2007 RuneScape and WG moving over there as a clan, this guide couldn't be anymore relevant to a player who is newer to PvP or the Wilderness.

The Runescape 2007 Wilderness map:

The map above contains labels of locations that I find relevant/semi-relevant for people to know.

Another map from Vio

I. Mage Bank - Known as "MB" - Mage Bank is generally a pvp single area in the deep wilderness. As a multi clan, we don't need to know much about this.

II. Deserted Keep - Known as "50 Lever" - This will be used as a return route in P2P. This may be the fastest route if you do not have 90 magic and ancients, or the one of the leaders/staff may call for all members to return via the 50 lever because the opposition controls GDZ (Demonic Ruins) so you'd be killed on return if you took the Gdz return. You can find the lever to teleport here south of Edgeville bank

III. Axe Hut - Known as "Axe Hut" - Nothing much to say really, usually only used to tell you the location of a fight/fall in.

IV. Rogues Castle - Rogue Castle - Common clan lure location. Inside, you can barrage through the gate catching the attacking clan in a narrow gap with multi spells. Inside of the castle could be a regroup spot if on the retreat or similar to that would be an escape/log out route.

V. Level 50 Wilderness Teleporter - Known as "50 ports" - This is a common fight location in PK trips as most teams/clans will check portals for action. North of 50 ports is a common log out spot.

VI. Volcano - Known as "Level 50 Volcano" or just "Volcano" - Only used as a log spot or a battlefield for a prepped fight.

VII. New gate - Known as "NG" or "New Gate" - Again, the gate can be used as a bottleneck to barrage people running through. It is also a hill, so you can have the click advantage for those rushing up the hill. A good position to have if you're getting rushed by the opposing clan for the reason stated in the previous statement, but also because you have options to fall back to, firstly behind the gate, then either west to 50 ports, with a bottleneck ledge to catch the opposition chasing or to the volcano to get an impossible height advantage over the opposition.

VIII. Demonic Ruins - Known as "Gdz" or "Greaters" - Fastest return spot via the level 90 ancient teleport. Good spot for outlasting by keeping the fight here you can just return like cannon fodder until you gain enough members on teamspeak to fight back properly. Often used as a boundary rule I.E. Spiders to GDZ.

IX. Eastern Lights and East Tree - Known as "East Lights" or "E Lights" and "East Tree" or "E Tree" - Eastern Lights refers to the shading of the mini-map. This would only really be used for a location of a fall in/pile. East Tree is describing the dead tree east of Members Gate. East Tree could be used to describe a location of a pile/fall in and can also be used to describe boundary rules.

X. Eastern Vents - Known as "E Vents", "East Vents" or "Gap Vents" - Generally used as a description of the location of a pile. It is the most eastern vents (mini volcano's), north of gap.

XI. Members Gate - Known as "Members Gate" or "MG" - Can be used as a description of a location of a battle as the gate is commonly used to bottleneck a clan in between the gate and can also be used as a regroup position when the battle is further away from it.

XII. Western Lights and West Tree - Known as "West Lights" or "W Lights" and "West Tree" or "W Tree" - Western Lights refers to the light shading on the map. This would only really be used in a call to describe a fight or fall in location. West Tree refers to the tree west of Members Gate. West Tree can be used to describe a location of a pile/fall in and can also be used to describe boundary rules.

XIII. West Vents - Known as "West Vents" or "W Vents" - Generally used to describe the location of a fight/fall in. It is the western vent, south east of Spider Hill and north of Red Dragon Gate.

XIV. Spider Hill - Known as "Spider Hill" or "Spiders" - Spider Hill refers to the red hill with a population of spiders on top. It is used in boundary rules. It can be used to describe a location of a fight/fall in and it is used as a regroup location due to it's hill advantage.

XV. Mossie Gap - Known as "Mossie Gap", "Mossie Vents" or "SW Spiders" - The vents are generally used as a regroup point but can also be a location of a fight/pile.

XVI. VR Hill - Known as "VR Hill" or "Mikes Hill" - Hill west of Spiders generally used to get away from battle and regroup. It is a hill so it has a click advantage over those at the bottom of it.

XVII. Rune Rocks - Known as "RR" - Single combat area. Used as a deep F2P pking area. If you're told to run/bail here things aren't usually going too well.

XVIII. Chaos Altar - Known as "Lvl 38 Altar" - Notice the use of the word "altar" and not temple. Usually used to regroup as it is still high up in the wilderness, has close access to Wilderness Teleporters and has altar use. Furthest western place in the Wilderness I believe.

XIX. Moss Giants - Known as "Mossies" - This is the area that the waka canoe takes you to. Main returning method in f2p and is still viable in p2p but there are also much better options such as the "Level 50 Lever" and level 90 Ancient teleport. Single combat area so it is a safe regroup area.

XX. Red Dragon Gate - Known as "RDG" - Common regroup area. Good for taking out opposition with multi spells as the gate can be used as a bottleneck. Can also flank and barrage opposition at gap with the use of a mini ledge looking over at gap (however it should be not used by a whole clan as the ledge is small and congested).

XXI. Lava Gap - Known as "Lava Gap" or "Gap" - The south side has a slight hill advantage. The gap can be used as a bottleneck and generally, multi spell fighting happens over the lava.

XXII. Single Strip - Known as "Single Strip" or "Single" - The whole area highlighted by the purple box is single combat. Clans run to here to escape a battle or to regroup.

XXIII. Chaos Dwarves - Known as "Chaos Dwarves" or "Dwarves" - Usually used to describe either a fall in location or an escape route I.E. "Run to Chaos Dwarves and keep running south".

XXIV. Ruins - Known as "Ruins" or "Auschwitz" (but please refrain from being too racist and unreasonable with this term) - Many buildings to bottleneck others, but not really used unless to regroup.

XXV. Boneyard - Known as "Boneyard" - Not really fought in, but could be used to locate your pile or a track of the opposition pile.

XXVI. Sperm Hill - Known as "Sperm Hill" or "Sperm" - Sperm Hill due to the shape of it. The landscape is general is made up of many hills making this the prime spot for hill warfare. Don't get caught in no mans lands between hills or you're a certain death.

XXVII. Chaos Temple - Known as "Chaos Temple" or "Level 13 Altar" - Used to regroup due to the low Wilderness level ability to teleport out and prayer recharge access. If you're regrouping here during a fight you know it's not going well.

May add more to do with hill warfare and bottlenecking at a later time.

RuneScape Discussion / Starting Plans? Rs2007
February 21, 2013, 06:22:37 PM
With the release tomorrow, does anyone have any starting plans/strategies?

Personally, I am just going to do what I feel like doing at the time. Nothing planned. Everything will be spontaneous action.

Combat wise I want to build a range tank to begin with so I can PvP as early as possible.

Media and Comedy / Roses are Red...
February 10, 2013, 06:43:17 PM

Roses are red, but there are also pink, white and yellow varieties
Violets aren't blue, they're violet, hence the name
I've got OCD
And my poetry skills are also lacking.

Roses are red
Try not to cry
Bite down on the pillow
I'm going in dry

Roses are grey
Violets are grey
I'm a dog.

Was just chuckling to some of these (some of which I shall not post), anyone have any favourites?
