paris is doing which i wish usa would do and just bomb the fuck out of them
USA has been bombing ISIS a lot more frequently than France has been.

i feel like we haven't done it well enough, the next day france is bombing they main capital. and as i read it said france is making it rain hellfire lol

Nah they dropped 20 bombs, destroyed some camps but no kills apparently.

Yeah Moch there's no 0 cost option of course - but what should we do? turn away everyone fleeing from ISIS on the grounds they might be ISIS?

Mojo is correct- sadly it seems that bombing Syria and Iraq isn't really a strategy that can be entirely effective: all of the actors are born and raised in France. For me the root causes are at home, as are the solutions: schools, sports, jobs and anything that can help connect our Muslim youth to the rest of society.

I live near enough that I go regularly to the places targeted. Was at the Bataclan concert hall 24 hours before for a concert and generally hang out in those areas. Scary shit. Know people that know people of course but that seems to be the case with everyone right now, especially among young people. As Moch said, after last time in January the questio wasn't if it was going to happen again but when it would.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

Today good wins over evil, light overcomes darkness and the innocent are shielded from ills and decadence once more by a brilliant yet unjustly obscure staffer from the Wilderness Guardians.

Looks tremendously exciting (and when you think about it's close to how RS classic worked, a formulae that led to the constitution of huge clans...) but I doubt I'll have the time to play it much unless our focus shifts again..

Agree with Suffud, I feel that if the want to make up for the gap between those who maxed with nmz and those who didn't have the opportunity to do so they should introduce another mean for the others to catch up..

Yes I do look back on that very fondly. We really have a marvelous history.

Speaking of which you promised me you'd dig up the extended clan history from the depths of some hard drive

Wondering if you were gonna end up applying ##

Quote from: VertueuxWhat can i say, when I think runescape, I think WG. It's all I've ever really known

^ Hits the nail on the head.

Nice to see another old schooler back in the community! The younguns forced me back into activity, it's a cool bunch

I joined DG right about when you were (co?)-leading it if I'm not mistaken

Quote from: Blackraide88 on July 30, 2015, 10:07:03 PMMostly because I just don't have the time, the idea of an ironman is really cool. I would just not have the time to do it properly. I do tend to keep everything I get, lots of herbs etc.

I actually wish there was an ironman mode back then, would've loved doing that... minus the no pking aspect

Hey so maybe this is irrelevant but I was wondering if you guys managed your accounts differently than you did your first account back in actual 07 if you actually played it. If so, what's different?

For instance, I spend much more cash, and on different things. I used to manage my account much like ironman mode today: I would hoard most of the drops and stuff I got, thinking "it will come in handy at some point, when I decide to train X skill". Now I just dump everything on the GE instantly and invest in what is more time-efficient.

Not sure if it's just the GE that allows that, or if I've just changed my game style..

I also used to like to skill for the hell of it, and get my level 50 in every fucking skill just 'cos, now I'm way more focused on PvP so I tend to only do what I NEED to do to advance combat stats and GP. Where I would not have hesitated to sink millions into herblore, crafting, fletching, I now splurge on super sets and stamina potions just because I'm impatient to train up.

So what's changed for you and why?

On the last point you made, that's what's been a source of frustration for me for a while.
People in PK clans don't appreciate the long game. They respect power in winning fights at any given time. Who's rank one basically.
They don't really appreciate the power in our longevity. We were never the top clan but we were pretty strong, and we've been constant.
Even as fully grown adults nobody seems to appreciate that except us, small in number.

we're not exactly on the map anymore but hey we'll get back there in a couple months ##

read most of the PvP section on clans. all those names at the end of the chapter like an epitaph to times gone by, I sniffled

clan community was the bomb back then, wondering who'd pull max opts next, rivalries, spies, alliances, legacies, dominations and defeat.

and through all that, WG still breathes..
