Title: Latest Film Score
Post by: His Lordship on May 09, 2013, 12:52:08 PM
Alright guys thanks for checking out my self-indulgent topic.
As you know I'm working up a portfolio of short clips to send off to film-makers so that I can land a job as a film composer.
This is my latest one.

IT IS NOT MASTERED!
I've biased the music for now so that you can hear it in its fullness, but when I put it in my portfolio, I'll adjust the levels.

Some compliments would sure be nice, but constructive criticism would be even nicer!
For those who care, this clip took me about 6 hours to compose.

George's Story - Rescored (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNFPmI7UgT4#)

This clip was very difficult to score!
The moods change all the time.
It's about a funeral director who writes poetry about things he WISHES he could say in his profession but can't.
This particular documentary inspired the TV series Six Feet Under.

Fine then!
Just ignore me!
Didn't want your lousy opinions anyway!

The bit where she's questioning why? is the only bit i personally feel it doesnt fit. Dont know why i cant explain it. May be fade it out?
Dont like the noise just before the part with the White sheet. Completely detracts from whats going on. Possibly just go back into a blackout?
Other than that i really like that scene and how you've done the music.
