OSRS INTRODUCTION: Faraday122

My RuneScape Name: Faraday122
My Previous RSNs: buster_kids
Joining for PvP events: No
My Combat Level: 89
My Stats:

About my RuneScape Account and History: Have been playing runescape on and off since late 2004 (according to Hans).  This account was started in June 2013 along with my pure Ben1220 when I heard about OSRS.  This account started as a melee/main account and I spent the first few months focusing on quests.  I played very casually until about november last year when the game started becoming more of a priority.

I now have a quest cape and a total level of 1594.  I like the idea of keeping all of my skills fairly high on this account, and so my lowest skill is construction at 53.  Later on I decided to become a range tank (both range and melee based combat lvl) and changed my name from the name I picked 11 years ago to a name I could imagine a Lietenant in Armadyl's army having.

My past clans/teams and any current teams: I used to get dragged into numerous small new clans back in 2011-2012 for multi pking -- although most of the clans disintegrated quickly and weren't well organised.  I do not remember the names of any of these clans.

About me: My Name is Ben, I am a social guy and I love having a chat and meeting new people.  I've got my BS in Mathematics and now working on a post graduate dip in Psychology part time while working as a Pianist/Keyboardist and a High school Mathematics tutor.  I'm also into meditation, public speaking and improv comedy and have spent a lot of time with each.

I heard about WG through: At first -- youtube.  Only really payed attention when I found them in the clan directory on the official rs forums
I want to join because: A few reasons.

I have seen videos from His Lordship on youtube and he clearly cares a lot about the runescape community and its longevity.  From what I have seen he is also very thoughtful, and insightful.  Having a leader like that gives me a strong confidence that this clan can live up to expectations.

The second reason is how professional and convincing the recruitment video was.  The fact that the clan has the resources and will to even put together a recruitment video communicates a lot about the clan.

The final reason, and perhaps the most important - is that, even though I have been playing this game for 11 years and know almost everything about the game and its lore, I have never really considered myself a good pker, my pking experience has been mostly limited to minigames over the years like castle wars, the duel arena, soul wars, ect, and f2p mid level multi pking on my pure.  I have never been one of those players that spends hours at edgeville fighting other players, or staking millions at the duel arena, and I've always found getting into pking to be too expensive and time consuming, despite always wanting to be more involved.  This clan seems like the perfect match for me that will help me improve my pking skills, especially because multi based and clan pking is the type of pking I am interested in getting more involved with as time goes on.

I selected no to pking right now because I still need all my money dedicated to other goals for at least a few weeks until I can justify spending a lot of money on the trial and error of learning how to be a good pker, although I don't want to delay getting to know people in the clan because of this.  If accepted into the clan, I will upgrade to a pking account within a few weeks.

Regarding the IRC, I am: Registered (mIRC or other client user)
Regarding TeamSpeak 3, I have: Installed

Regarding future events which may impact my activity: very unlikely

His Lordship

Hi Faraway, or Ben, welcome to our forums!
I'm on a temporary break from the clan but I couldn't resist replying to this great application. I really hope you get accepted and have fun here.
It looks like you'd get on well with my members, and anyone who plays piano is already a legend in my eyes :P

Welcome Ben! Loved reading your application. Hope to get to know you better in the upcoming weeks.

Mojo

Great application Ben. Welcome to WG forums :D
Your next step is to ask in IRC for an interview.
