Gaming / Re: Diablo 3

Let's all keep rewarding Blizzard for including always online DRM in a title that shouldn't necessarily have to be played online and let's make sure AAA companies never change their shady business practices because when they introduce douche bag scheme after douche bag scheme we just lay down and take it. :)
I am sorry but I am bitter, I haven't bought an AAA game other than Skyrim in 3+ years because of crap like this, and this is coming from someone who played Diablo 1 and 2 obsessively for years and have been looking forward to Diablo 3 for a decade.
Ever since footage of the Diablo 3 beta started appearing I have been tempted but I'm taking a stand on principle.

*NOTICE* This came by after a talk in my Ultima Online server IRC where we all took turns getting angry at AAA companies. You in no way have to take notice of my little rant and can just go about your merry way if it doesn't speak to you. :D

Gaming / Help keep Hope alive. :)

Hey guys, I haven't posted here in ages but I found something today that I though some of you can appreciate.
It's a kickstarter campaign which will end in less than 17 hours.
What they are trying to do is create a stealth \ action game where the emphasis is not on killing.
You are called up by a desperate woman named Hope who is trapped in a secret totalitarian nation ruled by the overlord (Think 1984) and by hacking into the nations networks you have to help Hope escape her oppressors.
A 10$ pledge get's you the iOS version, a 15$ pledge get's you the pc or mac version and everything above that get's you varied rewards.

They're less than 60.000 from being funded and every bit helps at this point. :D

Hey Bas. :)
Brent, unless you're a fan of text rpg's and own a netbook you most likely wouldn't know it, but it was called Shadowcast: The prequel. It was supposed to be a trilogy but it did extremely badly in sales, apparently my target demographics do not use netbooks. :P
Then cockups would have it that I lost the source to the game (Yeah I know, I actually thought I had backups, but, hehe., and without the source I couldn't maintain the game so I pulled it from the store. :)

Haha yeah I remember you. :D
Good to see you again.
Thanks but I am quite happy in my clan, I am afraid WG is nostalgia for me at this point, I'm really not into pvp any more. :)

Hey all, new and old.
Just found my way to your new forums. I doubt a single soul will remember the name DarkByNight (Well, some oldies probably will. :) )
But anyway, I was a wg member, one of the very first at that, several years ago.
Sometimes I get a bout of nostalgia and I just have to rip up my past. :P
I have become active in runescape as of late, however a long time ago I lost my main Darkbynight, to some script kiddies I guess, and have started a new character, Dbn404, which I just got to level 82 combat today. :D
Some may also know I am a dreamer, dreaming of crating games but never following through, well, I made my first game and got it published (It is no longer on the market) and am working on a sci-fi game right now, very exciting stuff.
Anywho, are there any true oldies still around here? :)
Have fun!

PS: Ohh, forgot to mention, still very very happy here in Thailand after over a year. :D
I moved here from Denmark the 13'th January 2011, and later got married, I love my life a great deal now.
