With the release of EoC coming I decided it was about time I got max melee because it will be harder to AFK afterwards. I worked over the summer to get it and many Dag Sentinels and AZs later I got it!

This is also my 3000th Post on these forums.

Go to your adventurers log and convert your total time played into hours. Then do your total xp divided by the number of hours you've played to reveal your average xp rate while playing RS.

Here's mine:
Total XP: 91,540,934
Time Played: 169 days 6 hours = 4062 hours

91,540,934/4,062 = 22,535 xp/hr average!

Shortkeys

This guide talks you through the use of Shortkeys, a simple program designed to execute a large block of text with a few keystrokes. It is useful for spamming during wars and raids.

To begin visit the Shotkeys Website and download Shortkeys lite.

Once installed open up the program.

To add a new Shortkey press the button or type ctrl-A.

Next decide what you want to use as a shortkey, in this example I picked 44 because it was close to the arrow keys. Next, enter your desired text underneath the "Replacement text" header. Pressing Enter after typing your required text means that shortkeys will submit the text for you so that you only type 44 and your text is submitted to the game.


MAKE YOUR SPAM - purple: WG or just WG
Once that's done simply hit Save and Close and you are ready to use shortkeys!

Extra Info:

Sometimes you may wish to disable Shortkeys. For example if you were 44 years old and somebody asked how old you are you would not want to say "Purple:WG Look Here!". To disable Shortkeys in Windows 7 (other systems may vary) open up the hidden icons on the task bar, right click on the Shortkeys symbol and select "Suspend Shortkeys Lite".


You can also have multiple Shortkeys. Here are some of mine:

This guide is written for new members who are not used to SwiftKit and/or IRC and covers the basic setup of SwiftKit and its IRC client as well as registration of your IRC nickname. Staff may find this useful to show to new members who need help with either of these topics.

SwiftKit

The first step is to download SwiftKit from the SwiftKit website: http://swiftkit.net/

Once this is downloaded and installed launch the program. A profile selection page may appear. Simply select the default profile and tick the "Always use selected" box then click "Use selected" to continue.



When launched select "Show Internal Utilities" at the bottom right and then click on the pacman symbol to launch the IRC client.

Filters

You will now need to turn off SwiftKit's IRC filter or you will be unable to see any forum links posted by the clan. The steps are listed in the spoiler below.

2. Select the IRC tab
3. Untick the "Enable message filtering" box
4,5. Apply/OK.

Finally enter your chosen nickname and put #wg_lobby in the channel box and click connect.



IRC Registration

Before doing this, make sure you only have one irc client open. Check that there is no underscore after your nickname. (e.g. Mojohaza1_)

Now that you are in the IRC you will need to register your Nickname, to allow our bot to recognise you as a member of the clan.

To register a nickname, follow these easy steps:

1. Type "/ns register password password email email" , obviously substituting email for your e-mail address and password for your desired password. Press Enter to sumbit it. This command will be seen only by the server and not by other people in the channel.

2. Check your inbox - you should have received an e-mail. Read it and follow its instructions.
3. Your nickname should be registered now!

Auto Identify

The final step is to set up auto-identify, so that the clients logs in your nickname every time you connect. You must first leave the IRC by typing "/quit" then right clicking the SwiftIRC tab and selecting close.

Now simply select the "Set up auto-identify" box and type in your new IRC password.



You can now successfully connect to #wg_lobby and our bot will recognise you!  :woeh:

Jagex won this court case a few days ago which basically stops the bot developer from botting on any jagex game, they have also been ordered to hand over details of the people who used their bots. They will be fined a huge amount if they return to their botting ways.

So I tried Jad like half a year ago and got killed by him 5 times :'( so I gave up. Thought i'd try again 6 months on with better stats + equipment. Attempt number 6 still failed :fp:  but finally I got him on attempt number 7!  :woeh: :woeh:

2. Tell us about your RuneScape history and your account (e.g. when you started, what your RSN means, favourite activities etc.) :
Account Mojohaza1 was started way back in late 2004, was aged 11 when made it (18 now). Name comes from powerpuff girls (mojojojo) and my real name Harry and the 1 is there i think because i created mojohaza and forgot the password. I have played runescape on and off since2004 but recently especially since wildy returned I have played much more often. favourite rs activities include quests (290 QPs) and a bit of looting clan fights on my def pure.

3. Tell us more about yourself (Age, country/state, gender, hobbies, music, skills, likes and dislikes):
Aged 18 from the UK. specifically Gateshead in North East England. Gender obviously male. Hobbies include playing Tennis and pool and watching other sports (I have a Newcastle United season ticket (football/soccer)). As well as various other online interests such as YouTube and giffgaff.

4. How did you hear about us and what makes you want to join WG or DG:
Have known about WG for years as I was in other clans. When i saw about DG thought it would be a great idea to apply as it appears to be a very friendly community.
