The angry, afraid, isolated, uneducated, bible-thumping white males rallied in full force as backlash against 8 years with a successful black and progressive president. This is not an opinion- it is a statistical truth. The baby boomer's final "fuck you" to Washington on their way out of this disgusting chapter of our history books. Trump offered a simpleton solution of "I will fix it" and they ate that shit up without a single moment of critical thinking. They won the battle but they're going to lose the war on progress (if climate change doesn't wipe us out by then, thanks Trump & anti-science morons). Just look at the 18-25 year old vote (the future of America):

Anyways, this sucks and I really feel for the minorities in particular. I hope Trump actually attempts to unify the country and stops his absolutely atrocious behavior and comments otherwise there's no way he makes it 4 years down this road.

I hope your Johnson protest votes are working out for you guys.

sorry - the second you start name calling, you essentially lose credibility

Does that same logic apply to Donald Trump who has name called and insulted virtually every minority group and countless individuals? What about his legion of supporters that have been calling Obama a Kenyan muslim terrorist for 8 years? It is such a clusterfuck of hypocrisy for the conservatives of America to claim the moral high ground and call for unity after using nothing BUT racist and divisive rhetoric. Seriously, go dig up any news article about Obama from the past 8 years and read the incredibly classy comments.

I'm well aware that many Trump supporters are good people and many Hillary supporters are not so much. But an overwhelming amount of American voters decided that racism and sexual assault are not deal breakers when electing their leader. Michael Moore may be right in that people are angry about the establishment not working for them but they voted for a complete monster to be their champion who is normalizing absolutely disgusting thoughts and actions. Not all Trump supporters are racist but all racists are Trump supporters.

Also I stand completely by my claim that anyone who denies climate change is a moron. That's an understatement actually.

I think what a lot of young americans see as 'uneducated' is simply what it was at the time - normal. 30 years ago when you parents were growing up, it wasn't normal to go to college. Most people entered the workforce after highschool, or served in the military. I don't exactly think i'm any 'smarter' from going to college. I may have more facts, more knowledge, but i don't think that directly related to intelligence per se.

What you should ask is not, 'why did we vote for a monster', but rather 'why did the monster win over the established opponent'.

sorry - the second you start name calling, you essentially lose credibility. I'm a Canadian conservative, and i know exactly why he won, and Michael Moore got it 100% right.

Yeah Moch there's no 0 cost option of course - but what should we do? turn away everyone fleeing from ISIS on the grounds they might be ISIS?

Would you buy a bag of 25 apples if one of those apples would kill you and behead your family?

I have some pretty hard core conservative beliefs - If an option presents serious risks, the option should be rejected. We can't "Screen" Syrian refugees. There's no Syrian government left to verify the identities, the passports are half fake, the others have been stolen, etc. There's no winning in all of this - but we can always choose not to increase risk. I feel the best option from the point of the west is to pay towards massive camps in Turkey / SA / Qatar, etc. For the cost of bringing 1 family over, they could sponsor 10 overseas.

Mojo is correct- sadly it seems that bombing Syria and Iraq isn't really a strategy that can be entirely effective: all of the actors are born and raised in France. For me the root causes are at home, as are the solutions: schools, sports, jobs and anything that can help connect our Muslim youth to the rest of society.

At least one was posing as a syrian refugee, possibly from another middle eastern country. There are several ways to win this fight, easily too - it just "costs" too much.

1. Level Raqqa / Syria into a parking lot [Cost: Losing Position of the righteous, "humanity"]
2. 250,000 american boots on the ground [Cost: American lives]

Unfortunately Daesh has been abusing the migrant flow and integrated actors within the groups of refugees with fake passports, stolen passports, cover stories, and i'm sure there are many many more cells in France, UK, Sweden and most certainly Germany. the USA / Canada have an advantage have having a nice water gap and can heavily screen refugees, but Canada has already been hit by 2 lone wolf terrorist attacks, and i fear more will follow.

There's no way to "win" without losing. We are in for a few interesting years.

For those that don't know, she was an undefeated women's MMA champion. Got caught with a quick straight left.

Thoughts? Personally I admire her but I feel she started talking too much. That arrogant I-know-it-all and telling people off tone.

She was a crazy 9/11 / Sandy hook conspiracy theorist, soo.... idk.

Yes! Now we can have a proper combat competition. Last time the top 3 people were just afking with guthans, so I couldn't really compete with that.

Of course you couldn't. I maxed out back in 2006 in high school, can't do it again with a job and responsibilities now. Why max out twice manually?

Yes I remember that episode. I was not impressed.
Rick Hamm overreacted and poached half of WG from me because I wrote a rant about America.
That aside, welcome back matey!

Whatever happened, happened in the past, and it's part of the colourful history that made up the clan. No clan is perfect, but this one is my home :)

Hey welcome back. The none PvP rank is not a rank for inactive people so please try and maintain some level of activity :P

Which TR did you form? There's been a few!

It stood for the revolution. Basically a WG spin off after there was some interclan fighting about mandatory events.
ah ok, there is also Titans Revolution and The Rising still going. Lots of TRs!

Yeah, but this was about 10 years ago I reckon. It ended pretty quickly after Oracle and Airmech burnt out.
