Title: Rules of the Throne Room
Post by: His Lordship on April 26, 2014, 09:16:29 PM
The Story of His Lordship's Throne Room

There are very strict rules that apply when entering His Lordship's Throne room. I understand that it's just pixels, but in making such a big deal out of it I can transform it into something bordering the sacred.

What's the point of transforming the throne room in such a way? Well, if something did happen inside that room, like a very important meeting, or a ceremony... well all of a sudden it's a big deal. One goes in there, and you can feel the sense of importance. And it is true, some very powerful moments in this clan's history have occurred inside that room.

That's why you know, when I host an event in there, something big is happening. These rules preserve that degree of importance.

Rules of the Throne Room

There are two categories of rules. Major rules, and minor rules. Punishments are put in place for the breaking of these rules - If no punishment existed, nothing would stop the rules from being violated. As harsh as many of you may think this is, you don't have to go out of your way to follow these rules, so unless you were looking for trouble, you shall not find yourself needing punishment.

MINOR RulesMAJOR RulesThe Safest Option
Show up naked, ask to be let in, sit down and don't say anything. If you want to talk, stand to request it. No screenshots or videos. Stay away from the throne.

Punishment for Violation

For minor rules, punishment will be several warnings, followed by removal from His Lordship's friend list, rendering the violator unable to return to the clan house, and a forum warning and short suspension from the clan (a few days).

For major rules, punishment begins immediately with removal from the friend list and a forum warning, and there are no verbal warnings. A longer suspension will apply.

New members are exempt the first time it happens, as they are not yet expected to know the rules. The new member will then be alerted to the rules. A second violation carries the same penalty as all other ranks.

You may question at this time, why the punishment is so harsh for what may seem trivial. To break these rules, a person has to deliberately go out of their way to challenge His Lordship's authority. The throne room is a separate room to the rest of the house, and so there can be no accidental entries. Anyone breaking the rules, especially the major rules, does so deliberately, and with the intention of challenging His Lordship's authority. It is also a sign of disrespect toward the entire clan who uphold the reverence of the event.

As these rules are unique to WG, there may be questions. This topic remains open so that those questions may be asked.

This is one of the few pictures in existence depicting a throne room event.
This is how a meeting should look.

I see a pet !
I think that's from my menagerie, which I stupidly placed right in front of the throne room.
