Monkeyy and I tested out the catch rate of binds between full Druidic and full Batwing.
Druidic Pros:
- Believed to have increased chance of catching a bind when full set is worn
Druidic Cons:
- Requires tokens from FoG to charge
- Low defense bonus [+104 for the set on its own]
- Potentially stands out among Batwing
- Expensive/difficult [150k for the entire set, each needs to be charged with tokens] to obtain, especially in larger quantities
Batwing Pros:
- Higher defense bonus [+552 for the Hood, Torso, Legs]
- Extremely cheap to obtain, easy to buy bulk [9k for Hood, Torso, Legs]
Batwing Cons:
- Doesn't have set bonus for bind catches
The hypothesis we tested was whether or not the catch rate for binds by the Druidic set were significantly higher than the catch rate for the Batwing set so as to offset the cons and make the Druidic set worthwhile to use in a warring scenario.
The setups used-
Tank - standard rune tank gear, used a G2H because I was too lazy to switch to shield. No prayer or pots were used during either trial to maintain consistency

Magic Setup #1 - Druidic - The cape, Bat wand, Bat book, Bat boots, Bat gloves, Explorer's Ring, and Amulet of Zealots were kept consistent through both trials. The difference being tested was between the druidic hood, torso and legs and the batwing hood, torso, and legs.

Magic Setup #2 - Batwing - ^

Trial: 100 bind casts using each setup.
Results:
Magic Setup #1 - 71/100 binds caught - 71% success rate
Magic Setup #2 - 76/100 binds caught - 76% success rate
Conclusion:
Druidic is a waste of time. There is a long list of cons to begin with and the bind rate is lower than batwing anyways. There is no reason to use druidic in a warring scenario.
Good topic. Now we know what to say to people if they ask if druidic is still good or not for wars.
