So now that 2011 is officially over (speaking from a British perspective now) and 2012 is upon us, it is time to reflect.
What have been your personal 2011 highlights - either really good things that have happened to you, or things you are most proud of etc.

For me, a few of mine would be:
1. Stage Managing a sell out show in a professional theatre with fantastic reviews.
2. Meeting my girlfriend :)

Living in China by myself for a month
Getting my highest ever GPA
and ummmmm dunno really :P
Did pretty well in school
Chose my major
Passing my driving test (4th attempt! :( )

It's one of the crappiest post-high school qualifications you can get.
But if you're not English, it sounds pretty awesome.

2011, good year.

Sadly this year hasn't been good at all for me, some reasons:
My grandfather died due to a heart attack, RIP.
I had a soccer accident whereby I was temporarily parilized under my waist, I recovered by hard work and alot of excercises. I still have a hernia because of it and it annoys me that I have to say no to some things because of pain and I'm to stuborn to take painkillers.
2 of my friends got ran over by a car, the driver was drunk and they left my house 15 minutes before the incident. RIP
I'm trying to make people around me proud and be there for everybody
The best thing of 2011 must be meeting my girl, She's the sunshine in my life :woeh:

Well, lets see.
This year I won the provincial championship in hockey,
Finished with an 89% average, which is decent
Joined WG
Was promoted in TR to Events Council
Finally reached 10th prestige legit on MW2 :D
Met the parents of the lead singer in Simple Plan
That's about it, really. At least next year I'll be able to say I lived through the end of the world.
I'm already 10th prestige on mw3 L
never saw this.. umm probably getting my first job ever and having my grandma live another year.

I did a Bachelor of Science in Geography Abs, fairly general degree but I certainly helped my job prospects by getting alot of work experience while I was completing my degree (I had basically done a year of 'real work' while studying).
I'm working as a GIS Analyst now, which probably means nothing to most people but basically it means I do anything and everything to do with Digital Mapping, so things like creating printable maps, creating layers for maps (Eg. property boundaries, roads), hosting digital maps (This is one of mine (http://cera.govt.nz/maps/technical-categories), As is this (http://cera.govt.nz/maps/land-status)) and so on.
A lot of the work I do is fairly sensitive though, so even though I'd love to show people what I've done I really can't :(

I'm taking a computer mapping class next year, I'm a geology major so I take many of the classes you did ## taking planetary, field methods, and petrology this coming semester as far as geosciences goes
Getting everyone in college finally.
Getting married to my dream man, and in 2012 awaiting the birth of my first child.
Latter part of the year getting my grandma home after 106 days in the hospital is a blessing.

2011 was a strange year for me. I'll list a few of the best highlights that happened.
- 2nd year wedding anniversary.
- Turned 20.
- Got accepted into College for Video Game Art Design & Media Art and Animation/Journalism.
- Got accepted into an apprenticeship for repairing air and hydrological jacks and tools.
- Found my cat, Zeddicus.
- Bought a New computer.
- Joined Wilderness Guardians.
