Yes, it's wrong.

We don't know what the Officer was thinking at the time or what he saw. From the reaction of one of the 'home dwellers' he was a very unstable and aggressive individual.

Don't critique a Police Officer and classify them over a media-hungry controlled news station.

Can't say which side is at fault, wasn't there the witness the incident.

Still sad though  :/

Not in the news: the tens of thousands of lives that police officers saved today or the thousands of criminals apprehended.

Remember, when reading anything...everyone has a bias and everyone has an agenda

I agree, but I disagree at the same time.
The officer could have shot him once in a non fatal area, I mean, what can a 1 armed man in a wheelchair do?
The officer went way too far and himself should be charged with unprovoked manslaughter.

You don't know how it went down. He could have had to draw it rapidly and fire on threat... Add in the fact that if he was somewhat new; he was probably nervous as hell.

I think the moral of this story is that we shouldn't run when holding scissors.

Nervous/new or not, officers are trained to shoot non vital areas unless placed in a life or death scenario.
He went too far by killing a man who's undergone 2 amputations and was wielding a pen.
