Gaming / Ark Survival Evolved - Xbox One
March 09, 2017, 11:14:43 AM
Ok pretty much this, I brought one of these to play with my girlfriend and a few friends and we all picked up Ark, Its like a dinosaur minecraft, with bits of runescape grind added in. The game has PvE with endgame bosses, an PvP with you raiding other peoples bases on dinosaurs/on foot/on a pteradon ect. All round pretty cool

Anyway. Ark has a 'Tribe' which is your group of friends, prettymuch its version of a clan, and this is a post for anybody wishing to give it a go, to join the one I'm in. Just post on here with ur gamer tag and can get you involved :)

Pretty much curious how much everybody else has spent on something in one go thats considered 'nerdy' not talking about a gaming rig pc or games console though, those are fairly standard.

I play a trading card game called yugioh, and have spent some silly money on that but made a lot too so its counter balanced. However I just brought a Lightsaber replica  for arond £340 which i'm recouping a chunk of the costs from the cards I have spare and are valuable aside from looking cool as hell, and being a childhood dream and using it at a comic con it has no use but to look cool.

Whats your biggest nerd buy?

RuneScape Discussion / Spider Retreat/Attack Change
December 10, 2015, 11:14:29 AM
We have made a change to the way that NPCs decide whether they retreat or retaliate to help prevent some unwanted behaviour where NPCs neither retaliate nor retreat. In particular, this affects how monsters such as Callisto and Vet'ion will behave when lured to the limits of their wander range. This change applies to all monsters with long range attacks throughout Old School.

Taken from the Key/Seaweed update post.  Just thought we should be aware before we do any raids in surrounding areas.

Real Life Discussion / Losing yourself in a book.
October 16, 2015, 01:17:10 AM
I'm a bookworm and proud of it, generally find nothing more relaxing than getting absorbed into another world by reading and forgetting about the one I reside in. However I'm in need of more content so I thought I would enquire if you lot have any recommendations. I generally enjoy Fantasy/Historic Fantasy/Military Fantasy. So pretty much Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Andy McNabbs, Bernard Cornwells.

Current series I'm reading/want to finish aquiring the books/waiting for new one.
Simon Scarrows - Eagle Series (Romans)
Game of thrones - Winds of winter/Dream of Spring + The knight books.
Warlord Cronicles - Berard Cornwell - King authur book 2 and 3.
The Dwarfs - Markus Hietz - Books 3 onwards.

Series I recommend:
Belgeriad - by David Eddings. Fantastic Universe.
Assassins Creed Series - Surprisingly nice to read, more casual than say Game of thrones ect, but its different.
Hunger Games Series
The Last Kingdom
Divergent Series
more to be added shortly.

I'll also have my Top Left Pure's stuff in here to keep it nice and tidy. Time to get editing!

Real Life Discussion / Age of Empires II HD
August 05, 2015, 12:43:45 PM
I recently brought a new laptop which has allowed me to restart RS again but also gives me the option to play my favorite childhood game again age of empires on steam. Does anybody else play this at all? Would love to have somebody to play with on it.

OSRS INTRODUCTION: Suffud

My RuneScape Name: Suffud
My Previous RSNs: I think I've changed my RSN to a roman name for a month but changed back shortly after. Will always remain Suffud from now on.
Joining for PvP events: No
My Combat Level: 78
My Stats:

About my RuneScape Account and History: I think I started playing in 2005 around October/November time roughly. Quickly became hooked and had various accounts of all types. I generally enjoy any skill as long as its not bad movement on the wrist. Enjoy PvP & PvE. Became hooked into Pking as a berserker pure sometime in 2007 roughly which involved me living in World 36 Edgeville runecrafting, gaurding fellow runecrafters, dealing retribution to any pkers who attacked and pking myself - not the runecrafters unless it was an enemy mind. The thrill of the fight in PvP is what drives me rather than the thought of loot.
I no longer play Rs3 due to most of my old friends having moved on and the game changed too much. I got a double Zaryte Bow drop on rs3 with the double drop weekend using instant kill darts, my only boss drop to date except for Dragon chain/legs/picks and barrows gear.

My past clans/teams and any current teams: I used to on Rs3 be a Member of AIR, but I started to play less and less, restarted when 07 came out and after some PC troubles joined BC CC to have friendly people to talk too.

About me: My name is Rob, I'm 22 and live in the fair city of Coventry in the UK. I enjoy gaming  with Skyrim, Age of Empires II Battlefield and The Last of Us amoung m favorites and play the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. I plan to start Archery in real life soon, and enjoy listening to a range of music ith my favorite artists currently: Edd Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Rise Against, Imagine Dragons and Bastille.

I heard about WG through: RuneScape Forums. Although the name is familiar.
I want to join because: I'm planning on making a higher level Berserker Pure. However without being to chat too in a community, the game can turn stagnant, what fun is a game without friends? The more people to talk too the better. The PvP and PvE events also interest me, giving a wider experience of the game which can only be benefical to all parties(except those we find in pvp, RIP)

I had a look through a few clan requirement pages and WG stuck out like a bright yellow sports car surrounded by Fiat's. The carefully structured design of the recruitment post, the introduction screen on the site and the intro video tells me the leaders of this clan plan to stay around and be prosperous. Unlike a lot of clans on RS which are made and collapse.

Regarding the IRC, I am: Not yet familiar with IRC
Regarding TeamSpeak 3, I have: Not Yet Installed

Regarding future events which may impact my activity: I do work with changing shifts but will be active.
