Real Life Discussion / $6 Headset with Mic
July 23, 2013, 11:58:06 PM
I'm not sure if any of you will have a Big Lots store near you, but they have an Ihome headset with mic this week on sale for $6.  It might be nice to pick up a spare if you have that store near you.

Real Life Discussion / Happy Birthday Abs
July 23, 2013, 03:27:56 AM
Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Abs who turns 21 this week.
I remember you being a teen and running the clan really well.
I hope you stop by and see this.
I miss seeing you come around to say hello.

This is a poem I found that seems to fit for you:

It's your birthday and I can't be there
But I'll send you a special birthday wish and a little prayer
Have a happy birthday
I hope that all of your birthday wishes come true
May you have a great time today and find happiness in everything you do.

Since I am going to have to be a gumball machine to pop out twelve children that will be tribes of the world to keep the population growth going in the right direction of nice happy people who don't drink much or curse out on ts to often.  I'd like your input on my tribe name choices.

So far here are some possible tribe names:

Root, Sirhc, Rum, Bark, Mango, Lamb, Uniden, Asus, Progie, gum, shoe, and Pstashio.

I think I have a volunteer to help me . . . <3  <3  <3

Of course the middle name will be the surname of which I will yell when they need to come to dinner.

Example of angry mom:

Bark Charles you need to clean your room right now.

Mango Samson please finish all your food and don't like the plate.

All input is welcomed.

Peace

Rachel
mother of twelve tribes to repopulate the world to be a happy place. . .

House of Random / 20 Questions Forum Game:
March 25, 2013, 02:32:31 PM
New Game for Forum:  20 Questions

Rules:

Someone in the clan chooses a person, place or thing having to do with RS, Clan or member past or present.
Next the host person will send a message to a staff of their choice to know the answer to the who, what or where.
All other members will try to figure out the person, place or thing that was sent to the staff person.
There is a limit to 20 questions or less to figure out the riddle.
The questions can only be answered with a "Yes" or "No".
If someone believes they have figured it out, they can use one of the questions up by saying their guess to riddle.
If they are correct, they get to post the next 20 question game and pm to someone in staff.
The pm to staff keeps it all fair and hosting is as much fun as playing.
If someone wishes to pass host to someone they can do that but should post on the thread.

I am going to start us and I am pm the answer to Will as my staff person.
Will or myself will answer the yes or no for you.
I hope this game goes well and is fun.

Real Life Discussion / Zoo Attack in Pittsburgh
November 05, 2012, 01:43:00 PM
http://t.news.msn.com/us/update-2-year-old-boy-killed-at-pa-zoo-exhibit

This is what is going on in my zoo.
I go there all the time and keep a membership.
I am so sad over this.

It's so sad to me to have a mother lose her child.
The by-standers that watched this will forever be changed.
I just can't believe this happened as I have been to that exhibit a hundred times.
It never really seemed unsafe to me.

I only posted this cause it is so disturbing to me.
These animals are endangered and likely now will be put down.

Has anyone else had a zoo fatality in their area?
I'll be watching this also from a legal point to see how it all plays out.

Gaming / Halo 4
November 04, 2012, 04:55:22 PM
I'm going a bit crazy getting all my codes for the game put in.
So far I have 150 of the double xp matches saved up for.
Anyone else finding the extreme urge to drink Mt Dew and Doritos.
I don't drink pop so I've been stealing caps from the other girls at college.
I bought Doritos for Halloween Party and to take to G-Pa's Birthday Party today.

I was a bit bummed when I realized the time change meant I have to wait an extra hour for the midnight release.

Post your xbox plans and if you will have a Halo party at your house.
I think mine will be on Friday night unless someone else hosts it this time.
The joke will be can I bring the Mt Dew or Doritos?  lol

I'm doing mine at Best Buy.
Remember to take any games you have to turn in as they are giving a 100% bonus for trade ins at the midnight release too.
So far they seem to have the best deal with a gift card for $20 when you buy the new console.
If you are only getting the game you might want to check out Toys'R'Us for a $10 card on any game over $59.99 that you buy.

What kind of work do you hope to do when older?

Everyone starts out somewhere and has a goal for the future.
I often think that no one in high school set a goal to be a McDonald's cashier or Subway Crew person that bakes bread.

Think beyond the starting jobs and what your doing now and give an age with a job you would hope to be doing in your future.

This is pretty easy for me.  I like to work with families and help them achieve more balance in life.
So my future job that I think of often is after I retire from making my millions.  lol
I want to be a nanny and travel with families and teach the children the most important things in life.
For me it won't be about the pay so much but about staying active and traveling not alone.
I'll be the fun nanny that makes them laugh and learn to enjoy life beyond what they know.
I'd have lots of field-trip days to do things.

If you haven't heard there is a prediction of the end of the Earth this year as we all know it.
In your hometown, do you feel you can survive the Zombies?
Does your family keep what it would take to survive the days of the Zombie Apocalypse?
What will you do when the Zombies come to eat your brains?

http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2011/05/preparedness-101-zombie-apocalypse/

In my small town, yesterday as I was having my coffee at Kelley's Restaurant, I overheard to elderly men discussing the Zombie Apocalypse.  They were saying that they were less afraid of a Zombie take over than a government one.  RC and I began to discuss Zombies and Aliens and Government takeovers. . . .

This leads me to ask are we really prepared?

"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."
— Chris McCandless

This seems like a good quote for discussion.  I'd like you to tell what it could mean to you.

To me it means I should be more adventurous and maybe try some new things.  If I never go beyond my comfort zone I'll never be all I can be in life.  Tonight I'm going to try a new thing and eat bar food.  That seems pretty adventurous to me lol.

In the 70's and 80's the feathered roach clip was a required fashion accessory for the pot smoking hippie-rebel.  Often you see it in photos of like rock bands audiences.  It has come back now.  I don't believe with the same indication that wearing it means you do drugs.

Longer hair example:

Sorta a Natural look example:

I'm considering getting these as extensions for my hair.  I'm thinking more natural ones.  The thing is they are put in with a coated bead that is crimped so it doesn't damage your hair and as your hair grow it just goes lower til you get to the point that you have it removed and re-crimped back closer to the top of your scalp.  The cost is about $10 each feather and the additional beads will cost about $2.  That is all done at a local hair salon.  I could likely buy them wholesale or even on the net for much less.  One of my good friends is a hair dresser.

I just think they are cool as you can wash and even use the curling iron on them the same as human hair.  They can be cut to go into your style too.  What do you think about the new Fashion Trend for us ladies?

I guess guys could have them put in too.
