ARK is a very fun game and I've played on official servers since release. I was active in the big tribe scene for a while, but the game became far too stressful after they opened up server transfers. Having to defend against attacks 24/7 for weeks would drive anybody insane. However, if WG were to ever play on a private server I'd consider it.

I've not played official, being raided when offline would suck balls. My RL friends and myself + few online are on a new private server if you want the details, its just starting up. It looks like both of our groups will be the Alpha's too. Currently making all our base metal after behemothing, Did a tame grind yeseterday and got Beaver/Argy/Carno <-- Found a random 135 female and tamed it. The servers rates for taming are high atm, but will decrease just so everybody can start up. Its now a 230 odd carno with 3k damage,200 speed and 15k health, thing is mental shreads anything.

Next up is my allosaurus pack and that cat which climbs trees!

The server i use has multipliers, so its faster gathering rescources and tames. Makes it more managable, also using kibble speeds up tames a ton, using just meat will take far longer

Ok pretty much this, I brought one of these to play with my girlfriend and a few friends and we all picked up Ark, Its like a dinosaur minecraft, with bits of runescape grind added in. The game has PvE with endgame bosses, an PvP with you raiding other peoples bases on dinosaurs/on foot/on a pteradon ect. All round pretty cool

Anyway. Ark has a 'Tribe' which is your group of friends, prettymuch its version of a clan, and this is a post for anybody wishing to give it a go, to join the one I'm in. Just post on here with ur gamer tag and can get you involved :)

Your not fully geared up. You need a fighter helm, gilded legs and boots. Looks pro with the fire cape. Rune is just too common.

When I was a zerk I got mine at 74 combat, its such a great feeling of superiority seeing all the similar levels with combat bracelets. Great work.

I collect and paint Warhammer miniatures, of which I've spent about £400 on in the last six months.

So that's a thing.
I own a huge LOTR collection of that, might paint a few up in near future but i've not played it for ages, generally played it with friends who arnt around now and the shop pretty much scared me. Whole flem in throat sterotypical nerd types there.

On another note:

I'm currently watching Revolution, seems ok.

You should rewatch game of thrones tbh. Once a season is finished you just go back and repeat.

Currently stockpiling pidgey's/ratata/weedles at high CP to spam evolve when I get a lucky egg again. I have a 212 Pidg im planning on double evolving to replace a 350 Pidgeot.

Anybody caught anything 'rare' yet without eggs?

I have been playing this game a couple of times myself, and I must say the game doesn't really load very well for me when I try to get into it for the first couple of times. Not only that there is no poke-stops near me really to the point where I have to drive to certain places for poke-stops. Fun game to play though when you are out on the go to places when it actually loads up.

The servers are going online in a lot of countries and for some reason they thought it would not be as popular as it is. Apparently poodlesquad or something a bunch of scumbag hackers are ddosing the servers too. To 'show what they can do' cool your good on a computer? Ruin everybody else's fun then.

I'm level 15 and have caught 59/150. I have quite a few 600, 700 and 800 CP's  :D

You need to nickname them properly!

I'm still getting a lot of crashes on the pokeballs when I catch them :( Although i found a 560 or so hypno earlier! and it crashed but i still got it! buzzing! Its crazy how many people are playing this under 30 lol.

Got from middle of level 8, to level 10 earlier on bus to work by hatching a 5k egg  with a lucky egg and catchingand a ton of generic pokemon + a few pidgeotto/weedle evolutions/transfers and getting a seal :) Egg was a oddish.

Then journey home, disconnect catching a gastly...then lose a insense from another disconnect and now can't reconnect! YAY! Wasted journey home.

Wish I had the chance to meet Pokemon :(

I've got a Aerodactyl as my main one right now, called Terrordachy although i'm tempted to name them all after random foods. EG Hypno is called Custard.

Play it with my girl friend & on the way to work. Know a fair bit about how it works but my god its ridiculous to get into gyms, similar to the OSRS new skills high score racing. Its stupidly competitive.

I've put a few hours into it and walked around, but there's students in my area which are in the level 20 range with Pokemon at 2000 CP already. I've managed to find a few gyms which somebody has taken out and joined but quickly been knocked out again shortly after. You get bonus exp/coins for holding the gyms which then can be spent on lures to get pokemon easier...which makes it incredibly hard to keep up if you can't get in a gym.

Hatching eggs works incredibly well for getting decent pokemon, got myself a Aerodactyl from one was well happy. :D also found out that the starter pokemon are in 2k Eggs so its a way to train those.
