This is the basics, it assumes that you are P2P and have stable net  ##

• If not completed, do the Witch's House quest.
• Once completed, buy some mind runes and a smoke staff (sell it back when done). 99 Magic will only cost around 4.5m.
• Equip your staff along with full rune (or lower) and d'hide vambs. You need -65 magic bonus or lower.
• Teleport to nightmare zone in the quest/minigame tab and start a practice mode battle with the Witch's Experiment.
• Set fire strike to auto-cast and enter nmz.
• Go AFK.
• You will be logged out after 6 hours having gained 83k xp. Repeat the process about 150 times and you will be 99 magic!

extra tip: download and install teamviewer on your computer and phone if you are AFK for longer than 6 hours.

Hello guys, I thought I'd make a list of basic tips you can use on these boards to make things a little bit easier to use.

• Enable quick reply - click here and change the second last option to "show, on by default".
• Return to topics - while you're on the above page tick the "Return to topics after posting by default" box.
• Unread posts - use the small unread button at the top left to find new posts. First time users will find hundreds of posts so just select "Mark all messages as read" then start using it the next day.
• Collapse Menus - I find it easier to navigate my profile by collapsing the menus. Click here to do that.
• Drafts - if you accidentally close a post before submitting simply check your drafts on your profile to recover it.

And for those newer to using forums, here's a few tips:

How do I post an image?
First you need to upload your image somewhere, I'd suggest imgur.
Once uploaded, copy the image URL. It must end in .png .jpg or .gif .
Then add [img] [/img] tags around the URL.
For example: [img]http://i.imgur.com/c1kNGaO.gif[/img] will display the image inside the tags like so:


How do I post an image? - Gyazo alternative
While the above method is useful I prefer this method as it is usually faster.
Gyazo is an easy way to capture screenshots. With one click you can take the screenshot and instantly upload it to the internet.
It will also copy it to your clipboard so you simply paste the link onto our forums and add ".png" to the end of the link.
You then add the [img] [/img] tags around the URL as above.

How do I get a signature?
Use the above tips to upload some images then head to your forum profile and add your images using into the Signature area using the  [img] [/img] tags.

What about an avatar?
First find a fairly small image and upload it to imgur.
Now simply copy the direct link and head to your forum profile again and specify your avatar by URL. No tags this time!

How do I post a YouTube video?
Simply paste the link and it will embed it for you!

I hope this helped everyone to use our forums easier and hopefully those of you newer to forums will feel more at home.

Will you be using it?

Note: You have have to do a hard refresh to see some of the updates. Ctrl + F5 on most browsers.

I'm sure many of you will have forgotten that most of the buttons on the toolbar at the top of the boards existed as they mostly served no purpose.
I've made some updates to it over the past few days which means each section at least has some use now.

The Media button to the right of Home has been replaced by "About Us" which provides the basic information you would see on most other clan boards.
I've also brought back the On This Day feature which was previously on the boards and was then moved to the website.
It gives an idea of what happened on the same date in previous WG years, between 2003 and 2010. Some day it will be updated.  :woeh:

Secondly, a few months back the Memberlist tab was broken but we have now added links to all 3 memberlists.

And finally, the Links tab was pretty useless before.
It had five or six useless links so I've reformatted it a little and added some links which are hopefully more useful.

I'm happy to make some improvements, let me know if you guys see anything to change!  :nyan:

Jagex said today that Google plan to end support for Java and some other plugins very soon. So if you use Chrome to play you'll have to use the client or switch browsers.
If you use Chrome within SwiftKit go to View > Settings and "Disable Chrome as Internal Browser", this will mean it uses IE instead.
