I've been twice to Amsterdam, few times to Rotterdam, countless times to Eindhoven and their beaches. Great country and almost anyone is pretty friendly and helpfull.
I strongly suggest you go there for a few months before leaving for a year. So you can see what it is like to live there.
And if I were you, I'd save a little bit more and spread the year over a few places.
Also, what places/cities were you thinking of? And how long was your previous stay?

As for the scamming and bsing, I've been a member for about a year or so and I've never seen any bs in here. And for the scamming part; all guardian/guildsmen or higher are legit/honest/friendly
. But just to be sure, never lend anything to anyone, no matter the rank .

Really? Almost the entire world would probably disagree.
I've seen hypes but this one beats everything. No decent servers, even JaGex does a better job :p (DC, GPS signal lost, ...) , getting into a battle with a friend is almost impossible, pokedex is random (how do I see where I caught x, a map that shows which gym/stop I did), gfx glitches, trading...
Nice concept, but it feels like a pre alphe build. Besides apple/cod I've never seen something so hyped.
I like pokémon but I think I stick to my GBA with emerald instead of go.
