Anyway, I just want to say one thing.
It's wrong of all of us to be jumping on Alain in a topic where he's apologising.
Sure, he's not making amends for everything, but at least he's changed direction.
I think we can afford to be a bit nicer to him; if this isn't enough it's at least a start.

The gesture is nice, but you just recently insulted me on Facebook - so I'm told.
I can't actually see your posts since one of us blocked the other, but I was told what you said.
Owen and Rachel is another matter entirely but there's a bigger picture.

Welcome back Bruno.
Thanks for posting. The community always enjoys seeing an old face.
Film studies will be very exciting indeed!

I really love this guy's humour.
He'd make a great drinking buddy I reckon.

WHAT THE FUCK?!
Zeth made this topic while I was at the gym.
Absolute douchebag.

I'll keep it open for the lols, but I can bloody well handle my alcohol.
None of this Asians-lacking-enzymes bullshit.

Two nights ago I did some serious drinking. The result was not good at all.
As bad as it sounds... Could anyone help me get better at drinking?

Tips/tricks much appreciated!

Vio's was great, but after reading it I had no idea that some girl had committed suicide by drowning herself.
It does need a bit more clarity.

My entry for National Poetry Day, as part of my Creative Writing course.

ANNE DE SEINE
VIO AMETHYST

Making history, I do not live for.
Meeting history, like you, I’d die for.
Unanswered question, unsolved mystery,
It only serves to fascinate me more.

What could shatter such perfection?
Was it, from Winter’s heart, escape
Into the choke of nature’s lifeless tendrils
To rot all trace of existence away?

But have you seen how you served on -
With gifts of wisdom, graced those in doubt
And taught them all of life and love,
Though only after they fished you out.

From the signposts and the little wooden fences
To grand walls lined with gleaming razor wire -
Polished buttons upon a soft fur coat,
To keep the cold from infecting the fire.

Yet so long ago did you show the world
That hidden beyond, chilling waves to the eye,
Lies warmth and calm, the serenity you found
Beneath the Palais du Louvre and a starlit sky.

A good base, but could use more imagery and clarity in places. Edits in red.

Making history, I live not for.
Meeting history - like you - I’d die for.
Unanswered question, unsolved mystery,
That only serves to beguile me more.

What force could shatter such perfection?
From Winter’s talons did you take flight
Into the embrace of watery tendrils,
Where festers away your ghostly light.

But can you see how you serve on
With gifts of wisdom to grace those in doubt?
Bestowing upon them lessons of life and love,
Though only after they pulled you out.

From signpost and little wooden fence
To grand walls, gleaming with razor wire;
Polished buttons upon a soft fur coat,
To keep the cold from drowning the fire.

So long ago did you show the world
Below the chopping waves, and hidden from the eye
Lies warmth and calm: serenity you found
Beneath the Palais du Louvre and a starlit sky.

If anyone is willing to update this and post below, I can copy it into the first post.
Just don't have time to do it.
If not, I'll unsticky it in the near future.

No. Asians get no protection.

This is part of the problem, not the solution.
That's why there are so many of us.

Normally I only use pens designed and created for real men, in colours appropriate to such instruments of masculinity - black like my chest hair or blue like the steely glint of my eyes, or the metallic paintwork of my convertible Mustang sportscar. Imagine then the situation I found myself in when, upon taking delivery of another shipment of motorbike parts and footballs, I reached for and grasped not my normal BIC pen, but a `BIC for Her Amber Medium Ballpoint Pen' (evidently ordered by my well-meaning, but ill-informed girlfriend whilst my back was turned). I knew something was wrong when I had to physically restrain my hands, gnarled and worn from a lifetime of rock-climbing and shark wrestling, from crushing the fragile implement like a Faberge egg. Things only went downhill from there.

Normally my hand writing is defined and strong, as if chiselled in granite by the Greek gods themselves, however upon signing my name I noticed that my signature was uncharacteristically meandering and looping. More worryingly the dots above the I's manifested themselves as hearts, and I found myself finishing off the signature with a smiley face and kisses. Obviously I had no choice but to challenge the delivery man to a gun fight on the rim of an erupting volcano in order to reassert my dominance. Had I not won this honourable duel this particular mistake might have resulted in a situation that no amount of expensive single malt whiskey and Cuban cigars could banish. I leave this review here as a warning to all men about the dangers of using this particular device, and suffice-it-to-say will return to signing my name with a nail gun as normal.

Why is Squelchyfish Ex-Member?
Good question.
You SHOULD be exiled.

1. Prior to the IRL meeting and afterward, you were flaming everyone.
2. At the IRL meeting you threw up over Vio, and my laptop and speakers, then ran away leaving us to clean it up.
3. OH YEAH THAT'S RIGHT... you went onto my laptop and gave yourself forum and IRC admin, and then refused to de-access yourself on IRC when Mojo confronted you. The clan had to wait a few days for me to get on and do it. Then you got angry at as when we did take it away, as if you deserved it.
4. Then you started flaming us on our Facebook group.

Count your blessings. Some generous soul made you ex-member, so I hope this topic isn't some sort of complaint.

Post one (and only one) piece of music that you are in total love with.
The only condition is that it has to be largely unknown to most people, and part of a niche.
Some explanation as to why you like it would be appreciated... and no trolls please.
As the resident musical snob, I'll go first.

Feldman: "Rothko Chapel"

Why I like it:
It takes a while to get going, but once it does you enter this incredible state of trance.
You really have to be listening to all the tiny nuances about it though.
To me it's just so sci-fi.

"I have a tattoo that says WG on my back."
You dick.

Great topic Wayshow, great topic.
Unfortunately this isn't in the private circle so I can only say modest things:

1. Watching animals on Youtube when I get bored
2. Sim City 4 and various tycoon games
3. Checking travel websites almost every day
