It'll be quite funny for the time it lasts... I don't see Jagex holding on to it for every long.

Impulse Software Ltd owns the actual source code/engine that RsBots, AutoFighter, and a ton of other sites use. The reason why it's a big case is because multiple bot platforms actually use the software created by Eric and Mark Snellman. The brothers allowed other 'companies' to distrobute and allowed them to create their own bots using their source/software.

I would say that this was the biggest shutdown since RSBuddy's collapse. Bots like Powerbot will never be functional again because they run off a reflection based source. (Jagex recently rendered all reflection based bots useless).

As a Software Engineer and Developer, I will say this; there will never be a time where RS is bot free. Programmers will always find a way to create new hooks and ways to obscure Jagex's security. However, Jagex has a big advantage and can potentially win the battle if they press hard against developers with cease and desists.

Technical Support / Re: New PC Ideas.

I almost grabbed that $1200 Asus Gaming laptop for Boxing Day this year. (Yes, available in a good selection of stores in Canada)

They were at Tiger Direct and Best-Buy.

Also, for a $1,500 budget; do no sell yourself short. An i3 processor shouldn't be what you'll include in a $1,500 dollar machine. Go with an i5 or even i7 chipset.

Technical Support / Re: Thinking of getting a new phone
January 22, 2012, 09:55:09 PM
There's nothing in the consumer market that can compete at the same level as iOS devices.

Androids currently hold the majority of the international market merely because of how cost efficient, the OS is loved by developers, and how many Android models are available is ridiculously high.

With that said, if you are worried about prices; grab an Android. If you want a phone you will not have too many problems with; grab an iPhone.

Gaming / My Youtube/Gaming Videos
January 22, 2012, 04:16:54 AM
Just started posting some videos... All I have is reach gameplay's because of the Bungie Pro Rendering service. (Pay to render them online from your file share)

They aren't the greatest and I'm certainly far from "good", but I think they're decent.

I'll be sure to start putting some RS video's up too!

Gaming / Re: 360, anyone?
January 22, 2012, 03:52:34 AM
Unfortunately, I cannot play tonight as I'm staying at my girlfriends and all I have here is my laptop, however; I will be online playing tomorrow. She will most likely be playing MW3 with me too.

1. What is your current Runescape username, and what are your past usernames if any?
Btraill

2. Tell us about your RuneScape account and history (e.g. when you started, what your RSN means, favourite activities etc.):
I've been playing Runescape since Classic first came out, however; I'm one of those guys that was constantly leaving and then coming back. I never really got 100% 'into' Runescape. Just recently I started taking it a tad more serious. (Finally got my Fire Cape which took me too many tries...) I enjoy Soul Wars, Pest Control, Dungeoneering (I need some chaotics!) and PvM.

3. Tell us about yourself (Name (if you are comfortable), gender, age, country, hobbies, music, talents, likes and dislikes):
My name is Bradley Traill and I reside in Ontario, Canada. I'm 19 years of age and I'm attending university for software development. On my spare time I enjoy web development, forum management, and gaming. I also spend a lot of time with my girlfriend of three years. I enjoy trance, dubstep, house, electronic and rap.

4. How did you hear about us and what makes you want to join WG or DG? Also, which of these two clans are you applying for?
I posted on the Runescape forums and got a response from a user, 'Mojohaza1'.

5. If you have been in other clans before, what clans were they and what was your involvement with them?
Never been in a Runescape clan! This will be my first one. I'm not 100% knowledgeable about Runescape even though I'm CB 104. I take RS a step at a time an google/wiki things when needed.

6. Have you read, understood and agree to abide by the rules of this clan?
Yes, I have. I took time to register a few days ago and scout this place out. I love it!

Extra Information:

I'm extremely mature, respectful, dedicated, loyal, and active. I enjoy being apart of communities and you'll soon come to learn that I'm quite a forum whore. Donations are something I like to help with!

Thanks for reading,

Brad
