TROUBLE BREWING GUIDE


This game may seem complicated at first, but trust me, it is simple once you know what is going on with the game
Basically, one has to gather ingredients to make rum

How to Get There:

Make your way to Port Phasmatys (Ectophial, charter ship, run from Canifis...etc), and leave get on the easternmost boat on the dock. Travel to Mos' Le'Harmless with Bill Teach.

Then follow the map!

What to Bring:

A Hatchet (Rune or Dragon)
A MonkeySpeak Amulet (Not required, but helpful)
Nothing in your inventory

The Ingredients Needed:

Sweetgrubs
Coloured Water
Red (if blue team) or Blue (if red team) Flowers
Water
Bitternuts
Scrapy Bark
Logs (to keep the fire going)

Where Resources Are


How to Collect Resources

Water: Get buckets from the supply table inside your base. Take the buckets outside and use them on the pumps (white circle in the picture above). You cannot use the other team's pumps. After you have the buckets of water, use the ladder in the base to go upstairs, and use the water in the hopper with the picture of a bucket of water behind it.

Scrapy Bark: There are scrapy trees all over the island (Dark Red circles in the picture above). Use your hatchet to cut them down, and use a knife on the bark to get scrapy bark. Dump them in the hopper with a picture of a bark behind it.

Sweetgrubs: There are little mounds of dirt on the island (Yellow circles in the picture above). Take a piece of meat from the supply table in your baseand use it on the mounds, and most of the time, sweetgrubs will come out. Dump the grubs into the hopper with a picture of little dots behind it

Coloured Flowers: Run to the opposite base and collect the flowers right outside their base (Red/Blue circles in picture above). You can only collect 5 at a time, but can bring someone to trade it to and keep picking.

Coloured Water: With the flowers you collected, run back to your own base and use the flowers on the kettle. Get some bowls from the supply table and collect the bowls of coloured water. Then, dump the coloured water upstairs in the respective hopper. However, don't dump all of the coloured water. Save some for the monkeys.

Bitternuts: This is quite an annoying task. First, you have to take the coloured water and catch a monkey in the middle of the game area (Green circle in the picture). Use the coloured water on the monkey you caught. (preferably someone with a Monkeyspeak Amulet). Then, the monkey will climb up a bitternut tree (Black circle in the picture) and throw a nut down to you. Dump the nut in the respective hopper.

Cutting Wood: Not really needed since the log storage has plenty of wood, but in case you run out of wood, cut them outside.

Tending the Boilers: In order for the rum to be produced, the whole system needs to be functioning, which includes the kiln. Use some logs (one 'logs' I should say) in each of the boilers and use a tinderbox from the supply table to light it. Add subsequent logs after you light the boilers. The boilers need to have 3 wood in each to be functioning, and all of the boilers must be lit to produce rum.

Notes:
We need
1 Bitternut
1 Sweetgrub
5 Buckets of Water
3 Bowls of Coloured Water
1 Scrapy Bark
And all boilers burning to make ONE bottle of rum.


Rewards:


Although they don't look that appetizing, the 'stuff' is good stuff man  . I made 3 Greenman's Ales, and all of them matured. Cha Ching 1.2m . Plus, the pirate costumes look pretty L33t eh?
