House of Random / Wtf is going on?
April 01, 2013, 04:03:29 AM
Is someone changing select w0rds to porn stash, and random shit? I'm confused half of these threads make no sense any more.

Edit: the w0rd "w0rd" turned into pizza, what the fuck?

Try that with 5k natures in your inventory.

Why do I have to AFK for one second to check WG forums. I'm cursed bro. :(

This is a thread to explore some of the best ways to make money in the game. Leave your own methods and thoughts on others.

One that is shared by alot of us, shown to me by Randy, is running nature runes in Brimhaven to people who are trading pure ess for double nats. The pure essence is supplied by the runecrafter in the general store. You are left to make runs to and fro. 20 runs = 1000 nats assuming you are trading for double nats. 20 runs, 100 nats, 300k.

House of Random / Halp with boners
March 17, 2013, 05:14:36 AM
Sister had a girls only party tonite. We basically chilled out the 10 of us and watched the walking dead for hours. Now one of them decided to sleep next to me cuz there's no more space. It's been 30 minutes since she slept and I'm in bed with a boner that I can't shake off.

I urge you all to read the post on Runescape's home page if you have not already done so.

http://services.runescape.com/m=poll/rs2007-server

As you can see we have Basic support rather than weekly. We will have a small team of people to run the game. This game will have however anti-bot programs implemented as well as new content decided by the players.

Most importantly, the membership is free for 6 months. However, this depends solely on the community. Now I know some people who are buying their membership on another account for 2 dollars and are planning to stop paying the next time around. How many accounts do you think voted on that method?

We rely on no membership fee for a prospering Old School Runescape. Jagex has given that a try with a twist just 700 votes shy of 450k. If the community is active enough after the 6 free months given, they will continue this service.

Brings up a few questions:
Will the 07 pvp community survive in an uncertain future?
Obviously we won't have the same number of continuous active players, do you think this will impact Jagex's decision?
Can WG now make a decision without knowing the future of the game.

Change is certainly risky nowadays.

RuneScape Discussion / Jagex gave me a free membership.
February 08, 2013, 12:11:37 AM
I got this email on Monday. I thought it was just spam. I filled it out a survey that pertained to membership and gaming inside runescape, and they said that they will give me membership in a couple of days. This was the message.

I thought it was nothing. Today, I had to check my spam folder for some college emails, when i saw that i got an email for my loyalty points being updated. I logged in RS and surely enough I have a free membership. Yey.

Mod Mark takes into consideration the communities voices about Pre-EOC and sums up his potential ideas in this forum post.
He notes 2006 servers and Old BH as well.

Interested in what they have to say?

For patiently waiting almost 2 years, and along with 400k registered members, the owner of 2006Scape has decided to close its doors.

"Hello 2006Scapers, Mod Vault here.

I have some unfortunate news to bring you; this is the end of 2006Scape. After a year of development, we are shutting down 2006Scape because of copyright infringement. The reason as to why I wasn't able to update you for the past month was because of the legal discussions I've been involved in. This will be my last message to you.

Following extensive legal advice, I have made the decision to permanently close 2006Scape simply because I don't want to ruin my life and that of every other individual involved. I hope you understand and respect that decision.

What once started as a 2007 RuneScape remake made way back on April 10, 2011, 2006Scape has progressed to be one of the largest RuneScape private servers ever made.

I wanted to thank each and every one of you. Without you we wouldn't have gotten anywhere. It's funny to think that a year and a half ago it was just me working on this project, and to see it all come together, all the while being supported by so many people, brings a tear to my eye.

You have proven to be one of the greatest and friendliest communities to be a part of, I can't thank you all enough for being such an amazing group of people. Thank you for everything. Really, thank you. Your support has been unheard of, and I'm sincerely going to miss visiting the forums and talking with you all.

I also wanted to thank everyone who has ever been a part of the 2006Scape team. Whether you were an administrator or a moderator, I hope you all realize how I appreciate everything you have ever done for this project and also that this decision is being made to protect you as well.

It pains me to say that this really is the end. If there's one thing you should know and keep to heart, it's this:

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
- Dr. Seuss

Thank you for everything.

Head of 2006Scape
Mod Vault"

Some people are about to get very mad today. The quoted statement is from the 2006scape website.

RuneScape Discussion / 2006scape
December 06, 2012, 04:12:49 AM
I was just wondering if anybody was planning to play this game. Private testing has started so it shouldn't be too long until it is released.
Regardless, it would be a cool idea if the pvp world could be reincarnated to its former glory days by joining 2006scape.

1. What is your current Runescape username, and what are your past usernames if any?
Asaad

2. Tell us about your RuneScape account and history (e.g. when you started, what your RSN means, favourite activities etc.):
I started in December '06. Throughout then until the time free trade came out, I played this game happily. However, free trade really screwed over my playing style. Instead of having fun playing the game, I would have fun staking. I made some money, lost some money, spent some Money on rsgp, and sold some rsgp for money. At one point in time, while still being a regular member of the WG, I staked away all of my money, and decided to leave the clan because I assumed I had quit. I really wanted to quit from staking, which I thought was impossible, and I kind of mixed Runescape and staking as an inescapable pair. Fortunately I started to play again, but with 0 cash, and my friends list empty. I spun 50k at SoF, bought a rune hatchet, and made 1.5m cutting yews. Became a member again, and working ever since. I was able to train my stats a little higher in Double xp weekend too. Now being contempt with the gameplay like it used to be, with the exception of some old friends, I wanted to re-join the clan and make all meets hopefully.

3. Tell us about yourself (Name (if you are comfortable), gender, age, country, hobbies, music, talents, likes and dislikes):
My name is Asaad, just like my RS Login name. From the U.S., currently getting a visit from Hurricane Sandy. 16 years old and I'm attending the University of Michigan. I collect alot of different toys, Bionicles, Mighty Beanz, Star wars, etc.

I have a lifesize Darth maul Statue....

somehow its tilted to the left, tinypic's mistake.

4. How did you hear about us and what makes you want to join WG or DG? Also, which of these two clans are you applying for?
Wilderness Biography, thanks Keanu and Gene.

Your PvP Experience

5. What Multi-combat PvP Experience do you have? Be sure to mention any recent or past F2P or P2P PvP Clans you have been in.
I've attended some meets as a former WG member
6. Our warring times are usually between 3PM EST/8PM GMT and 5PM EST/10PM GMT on weekends, but sometimes weekdays, can you regularly be active at these times?
I will try my best as always.

7. Can you stock up on 10 sets of Full Rune as well as an equal amount of F2P Mage and Range sets? This only applies to applicants of WG.  Your gear will be checked via trade screen when you are being invited to the CC in game. - Please note a comprehensive list of the required items is posted as a sticky in the 'Join the Clan' Forums
I can do everything necessary.

8. Do you understand that all PvP Events are Mandatory if you are online, and that you face removal from the clan should you blatantly skip these events?
Yes, and I believe that's what happened to me as I became inactive and turned out to be an ex-member.
I'll do my absolute best.

Your Activity and Availability

9. Do you agree to check WG Forums daily and be on IRC at all times while you are in game, and to be on Teamspeak for all Wars and Raids? (Please note, these are third party programs, but clans have been using them for years and are crucial to our success, as such they ARE a requirement.  Further details can be provided on request.)
Yes

10. Is there anything in the near future that may impact your activity or ability to attend events?
Strangley not that I know of, besides Youmacon(Anime convention) happening this Saturday.

Hope to become an active member of WG once more.

Media and Comedy / Syrian Hypocricy In My Own Eyes
March 22, 2012, 04:35:51 AM
I can't help but get angered once again at our media and the web alike. The "dictator" of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, is said to be a dictator in order to remove him with no problem in the eyes of Americans.

He is targeted for a very important factor, natural gas. Bashar, as the current ruler, does not negotiate with America often because of the American-Israeli crap, and that's a huge story for another day. America and NATO, both corrupt and fueled by money, greed, and colonialism in mind will do what it can to topple my countries current government, to bring a new one that will openly work with the US.

How does the US do this? Just as they do everything else negative and for their own best interest at other peoples harm. Ultimately they had spread a massive ongoing campaign on the horrors of mass killings in Homs. ..............NO.

Let me tell you, I recently Skyped my cousin there, and Syria is, "peaceful". The mass killings or w/e BS you see on TV is fueled by people out to get Syria for there resources.

Whats the harm to Syria? The biggest one is the collapse of national security. As a whole, it will be unstable, the current state of Syria is controlled under police officers headed directly by Bashar's administration. Topple him, you'll give the country chaos. Not to mention the person in charge to take over his place. If Bashar successfully steps down, the country will be run by terrorists in the end. The new person seeking this throne will (drastic but unmistakenly true), murder the Shittes, Christains, and any other minorities, as he said in a speach now removed from Youtube. Censorship at its finest, eh?

******The recent terror attacks that the U.S. proclaims to be fact are fueled by the rebel armies, which are controlled and funded by Saudi Arabia, which are controlled by America.*********

I am ashamed that two of my countries are colliding, I don't  want to see harm done to anyone, but this is the truth, and your opinions are respected, I will be happy to try and clear anything up if you have questions.
