I did a Bachelor of Science in Geography Abs, fairly general degree but I certainly helped my job prospects by getting alot of work experience while I was completing my degree (I had basically done a year of 'real work' while studying).
I'm working as a GIS Analyst now, which probably means nothing to most people but basically it means I do anything and everything to do with Digital Mapping, so things like creating printable maps, creating layers for maps (Eg. property boundaries, roads), hosting digital maps (This is one of mine, As is this) and so on.
A lot of the work I do is fairly sensitive though, so even though I'd love to show people what I've done I really can't
I'm taking a computer mapping class next year, I'm a geology major so I take many of the classes you did
taking planetary, field methods, and petrology this coming semester as far as geosciences goes

I have a shitty t mobile phone cuz data plans are far too expensive when I have to pay for college at the same time, 50$ a month for unlimited everything but the phone is like a fake blackberry and service for tmobile is bad..but I'd personally recommend a droid if you want quality just because i already have an ipod touch to do everything the iphone does so it'd be pointless to get the same thing twice - before the phone I have now i had a droid 2 and it was awesome
