Why am I so bad at moneymaking?

I've never held more than 10M in my RS bank, is it just because I burn all my cash, or do I just suck?
Really would like tips on how to not be tight on moneyz (OSRS)... ASIDE from looting (cos I'm not online usually at those PKRI war times)

it isn't a bad thing to spend money, it helps you with other things like better moneymaking methods and training
if you have about 5m to spend i recommend doing zulrah for big gps
