Dragon Defender drop requirement

Is it possible to get the dragon defender drop from the basement Cyclops when you don't have 60 defence?

 been down here for 3000 tokens so I just wanted to make sure. Showed her my rune defender and I'm using it to fight.

Yup. Should have no problems. They're fairly rare though. Although it shouldn't take you 3k tokens. Gl!
