Lordy's New PC
« on: November 07, 2011, 02:32:45 pm »
I guess this is my first active topic.
Just got back, posting in Hello's forum shortly.
First thing I did was upgrade my computer to this:

Intel® Core™ i7-2600K Processor (8M Cache, 3.40 GHz)
8GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Motherboard
GeForce GTX 570 GPU Graphics Card
HyperX SSD Drive (High-speed SATA Rev. 3.0 (6 Gb/s) transfer speeds) in addition to my other hard drives which come to 4TB
Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 800W Power Supply
Welland EZStor ME-220PN Tool-free HDD Rack
22x Super-Multi DVD Rewriter
2x Aerocool Shark Fan 140mm
Aerocool BX-500 EVIL BLACK EDITION Gaming Case
Windows 7 (64-bit) - I previously had 32-bit and the new hardware goes to waste with 32-bit, therefore... RE-INSTALLING EVERYTHING! FML!
Casecom 3.5" 1x 20 Pin 2x USB 3.0 Connector to 2x SATA 16pin Connector
Serial ATA (SATA) Power Y (Splitter) Cable 4-15 PIN 150MM

Computers... Dididoitrite?
EDI: Now I can play rs gud ya?

Quite a nice rig tbh. Not too sure about your PSU though. My friend bought a 1000w Bronze PSU and only got about 750w out of it, so there not very efficient.

Looks perfectly fine to me. A 500-600W quality PSU would be fine for this rig.

And if you have a PSU that won't put out rated power, then it's a bad PSU or a cheap one. The wattage rating is /output/ not input.

Why did you buy a new PC if you are out of the country 90% of the time?  ##
