The hand cannon is a very powerful range based weapon that you learn how to use after the quest 'The forgiveness of a chaos dwarf'; the quest is relatively easy.
If you going for a range tanking account, this should be 1st and foremost one of you high hiting weapons.
To use the hand cannon efficiently you must count game ticks.
So 1 game tick is 0.6 seconds.
the hand cannon fires at a rate of about 7 to 8 game ticks. To fire a hand cannon at this speed you must be on rapid.
Now your wondering how do I use this in pking.
Well let me explain it:
If you use you rune crossbow it runs at 6 game ticks.
Use any of the best crossbows. *(rune preferred)* As soon as use see your rune cross bow shoot off a bolt*(Dbolt (e) preferred)* and you see its big exp drop swap, you cannon.
To do this you must be lighting quick, and be able to react fast. (this method does not work with far ranging)
if you pull it off your game ticks will merge with the cannon and you shoot a shot off that will be sightly faster. (about 1.8 seconds faster).
This does not sound like much but when you dfire spec then follow up like this, your combo is huge and will result with a kill for you.
