the guy doesn't really check who he's attacking, and he attacks the new mage, therefore skulling.
It is an excellent form of lure, pretty damn sneaky too. Requires two people working in perfect co-operation.

Seen it happen to a few people.

You could claim you'd have to be an idiot to fall for it, but realistically if it hadn't happened to you before, or you hadn't seen any vids, I don't think you'd see it coming.
