My opinion:

Good deal made by Mr Lucas, milked the franchise for all it was worth then sold it on. I'm sure $4b will do nicely for whatever plans he has for retirement.

I would not of picked Disney to do this. 
I love Lion King and a lot of the other movies, but Star Wars is in a class of its own.
