My first reaction was to be shocked that Jagex are actually listening to players

So some questions:

Would you play on these 2007 servers?
Will the community just ruin the fun?
Would you consider coming back to RS to play them if you've quit?

RuneScape has advanced as a game but the PvP is complete shit, everyone knows it.
This way people can play the game they've grown to like AND others can enjoy the oldskool PvP.
Seems like a win-win to me.

This is fucking amazing. Once per millennium, Jagex listens to their players. This is one of those instances.

I would highly consider returning to play on the 2007 servers. At least casually.

I also think it's bullshit that only members can vote on the poll. Most current members don't know what it was like back then. All the old-school players have realized what a crappy game it's become and moved on. They should really open the poll to the public.

I needed to change my pants after reading the RS post.

There's not a single update I have enjoyed since returning. Honestly the only thing I can sort-of handle is the sound vials now make when you drop them.

Really looking forward to this and hopefully to the revival of the clan world that it will bring.

1. Not going to pay Jagex more money
2. Not going to ignore the last 5 years (2007-2013) that I've worked on my account
3. Not going to relive four years (2003-2007) to achieve goals I've already achieved
4. Not going to pour countless hours into a game that doesn't change with me
5. Not going to play two Runescapes at once and waste double the time

* NOTE: Everyone is recalling a highly fantasized 2007-scape where everything was awesome. In adulthood, 2007-scape is going to be a lot less magical and I'll bet you're going to be very disappointed after a dozen hours of gameplay. You remember those times so fondly because of nostalgia, nothing more.

EoC PvP is shitty with the new gear/skills. Pre-EoC PvP is also shitty with over-powered weapons and items.
Runescape PvP is NOT going to get any better the way things are going. Would you agree?

Not gonna bother, haven't even read the post.

I actually enjoy the EOC and think it was a needed gameplay balance, sure it still needs tweaking, but we've seen at least 2 major updates to it since release and its much more refined than it was at release.

Everyone remembers 2007 through rosé tinted glasses, based on the memories they made there. It's like asking to go back to the 90s when you were a kid because you made so many amazing memories at the time, but you'll be pissed when you realise there's no mobile phones, Internet, Xbox 360s and movies from today.

However, opening this poll EXCLUSIVELY to members is bullshit, I highly doubt there are even 750,000 members in Runescape.
Let alone 250,000 of which remember what old school PVP was like.

Like Colin said, Jagex would get better results if they opened the poll to ALL players and brought the forum topic to a place where EVERYONE can read and comment on it.

Positives:

Many clans pushed into 1 or 2 worlds(?) - PVP era similarity.
PvP Era was good for P2P which was pretty much dead. You could PK and find a clan. This could be the same for a dead clan world.
GG Godwars and other things that made the Wilderness crap.
Looking at the food chain.
Removal of Godswords and other OP items.
Much preferred PKIng combat system

Negatives:
Phoenix Necklaces still around - Makes it impossible to die in p2p.
Population - Will it be enough to thrive on it, or will it turn out like RSC
Retraining - will take time. All our progress over our RS careers we are going back on. Why not just use a private server.
Split clanning community could be possible.
Paying for it as an addition.
