They are coming back: 2007 Servers

I'd rather they change content of the game that is not clan friendly then to go back the way it is offered to us.

You know, I agree with you and Gene about it not being the same.
But, there are several nostalgia factors at play here and the fact that the clan and wilderness are deader than Amy Winehouse and Micheal Jackson combined.
This will be a chance to model RuneScape into what we want it to be (Refer to Gene's Wilderness Revitalization Video).
Think of it as The RuneScape Clan Community as an artist and RS 2007 is our Canvas.
The possibilities are fucking endless.

Projected backup date is August 10th, 4 days after the initial Clan Chat was released. A bit of a happy coincidence I guess.
I likewise would not begin grinding out skills again, but there is a 1 or 2 months for the community to push for an alternative. Quite frankly the updates over the past 5 years have made obtaining resources and exp significantly faster and easier than in 2007, so effectively merging the servers together so resources/stats can be transferred shouldn't really have any negative effects.

I think I'll stick to EoC. My account was too young to enjoy 07 days at the time, on top of the fact that if I have to start over I think that'd completely ruin any chance of me trying it. If it can bring back some old WG members, sweet. That's awesome. As long as they show up to the EoC wars we have. Otherwise, I don't see this doing much for us in either direction, and quite possibly, more harm than good. I'd hate to loose our few active war-ers to essentially, a jagex-ran private runescape server. Never played a private RS server, never will. I hate doing things twice, and that includes leveling my account. That's my two cents.

All I'm gathering from this, is a clan wide split.
Some will go to EoC and some will go to Server '07...That would completely split WG apart.
