the topic title says to "stop posting stupid shit here" If your going to make it a rule you should give us better guidlines then just "stupid shit". "stupid shit" is really opinion based so how are we suppose to know what said people think is "stupid shit" i suggest maybe getting all the people who got soooooooooooooooo butt hurt over the posts in this forum to bring their "great minds of wisdom" together and create a do not post this shit list so that people can better follow the rules.

If you are able to scale back the amount of stuff being posted here so that this forum is balanced with the rest of the clan forums, I don't need to be so strict.
But right now, the clan forums are dividing into HoR and the rest of them, and I won't let that happen.

I've never really bothered with HoR. I'm not going to mention any names but you should know by now who's really posting things that are just pointless, BUT that's what HoR is for.
But if people are complaining about it then Gene took action as Leader and did what he thought was best at the time. I don't think anyone really needs to be sour about the situation.
I understand some people have had their posting privileges revoked, and I know they'll get them back but I think it was unnecessary and it kinda just added more grease to the flame ya know?

And I am prepared to give all their posting abilities back if they'll PM me and say they'll ease up on the spam.

I am not stopping all the spam for no reason. There is legitimate concern about the HoR I am trying to address.

Its not a rebellion gene. We just want hor to be fun that's all. There are features that allow you to ignore hor. Also I don't see the seperate society. Anyone can post here. Its not our fault were the only people with a sense of humor

You see, that's just it mate. You're looking after your own interests but I have to look after everyone. Not everyone has this sense of humour and they are getting annoyed, and since we're all in this together, what I have been asking for is for you to responsibly scale back to make people feel less unhappy.

I'll quote what I sent in PM to Kevin:

Why does it need to be controlled?
For the reasons above. For an Emeritus member like yourself and Keith it's not bad at all, but for the active members it is distracting them too much from their clan duties and it's also confusing to new members who have no idea why everyone is always posting inside jokes (eg about trains) which excludes them from the fun.

How is it annoying?
Because of the reasons above. These three questions are really the same question rephrased. If I don't regulate it now, it will lead to worse problems later.

Posting funny/amusing shit in here is fine, but filling it with topics titled "dude wat" that simply contain "�������������������������������������������������" as the post is pretty pointless/annoying, and definitely not funny.

The HoR is designed to be somewhere to discuss anything not covered in the other forums, and to play forum games and post funny stuff.  It was not made to post topics with no discussion value, humour, or meaning/reason.

This http://www.wildernessguardians.com/smf/index.php?topic=6499.0 is a prime example of the "segregated community" Gene is talking about, it's basically a topic saying "These are the people that run the House of Random, if you're not one of them you don't belong." 

A lot of you/most of you weren't around for the TS crew incidents (multiple incidents), where there was a little clique of people who were always on teamspeak (Again, something everyone can use, but would definitely not feel like they fit in if they were on teamspeak with the TS crew and their inside jokes and segregated community.), but I WAS there, and trust me, it's eerily similar.

And the TS Crew that Owen is referring to tore WG apart.
They were the people that backstabbed WG on our own raid even though they were in our clan, and to whom the TS rant was directed.
The HoR community is going that way now, and I am concerned. Very concerned.

Yes, but it's also a matter of posting less because it's out of balance with the rest of the forums.
I want people to be paying attention to current clan affairs as well rather than spending too much time here.
