#REDIRECT War

A PKRI or PK Run-in (sometimes called a "skirmish") is an Old-School RuneScape PvP event where two or more clans encounter each other while on PK trips, generally in the Wilderness, and a battle between them ensues. PKRIs differ from wars in that a PKRI is not agreed upon by both clans, and there is no preparation involved - a war in which returning (members may re-gear and continue fighting after death) is permitted is simply referred to as a "run-in". If one clan is "hunting" another on a PK trip, the PKRI is referred to as a "hit" (historically an "ambush").

The Wilderness Guardians frequently engages in PKRIs in OSRS.

Overview
PKRIs follow the same general principle as a run-in war: members are expected to return upon death for the entirety of the battle, and victory is achieved when one clan is "cleared" (they do not have enough players on the battlefield to continue fighting) or "ends" (their members ceased to return). However, as there are no pre-determined rules to a PKRI, there are effectively no limitations on tactics, strategies, or equipment.

WG does effectively have a few guidelines for PKRIs, which mostly stem from the clan's rules:

* WG must not be verbally abusive ("flame") or slander the opposing clan.

* WG must not wear cheap equipment ("rag", or "1-item"), and will leave the fight if the opposing clan is ragging.

Since around 2010, WG has also avoided PKRIs which lasted over 1 hour in length - though in recent years this has been extended to 2 hours.Citation needed
