The Rune Outlaws (RO) were a dishonourable clan and one of WG's most notorious rivals during late 2004 and early 2005.

WG was first contacted by RO via a message sent through the clan's website in November 2004, insulting His Lordship and suggesting RO was vastly superior in strength to WG. His Lordship believed this to be grounds for war, and declared. The fight was planned for midnight GMT on 27-28 August 2004. However, a second clan Knights of Death mistakenly became involved due to a miscommunication. As a result, a three-way battle ensued, with WG eventually choosing to withdraw. However, RO were exposed for cheating by bringing different coloured capes and leaving the war zone, and the clan was shunned by the wider community. The war is considered a victory by default for WG.

Second War

When the alleged death of a clan member was announced, an in-game funeral was held by WG at the Rimmington chapel on 20 December 2004. Shortly after, a RO member insulted the grave by dancing over it among other things. WG declared war on RO a second time, and called on the wider clan community for support via the Rune Village fansite. As a result, WG developed alliances with Fear (a formerly hostile clan) and Legends Legion. The fight was schedule for midnight on 8-9 January 2005, and a significant force of WG and allies (estimated to be around 200 players) amassed on the day of the war. However, RO failed to show. WG claimed a second victory by default, and salvaged the event by hosting a successful raid.

Third War

A third war against RO was scheduled for 23 April 2005. On the day of the war, WG massed at Varrock Chapel before heading to the Wilderness. Upon arriving at Annakarl, RO requested a change of worlds, from the arranged 50 to 19. However, this was done with the intention of attacking WG unprepared as they hopped worlds, which RO did. RO also violated the terms of war by bringing allies - Demonic Legends and Afro Clan are confirmed to have been present. WG was initially cleared, and His Lordship challenged RO to a series of deathmatches to determine the victor - however, RO declined to take part. WG then regrouped with their allies Fear, and proceeded to carry out successful hits on DL and another clan only referred to as TD. This would be the final time WG considered a planned fight with RO.

Aftermath

RO recieved a significant amount of negative publicity as a result of these battles, and their tarnished reputation led to the clan's eventual collapse. Even as far as 2011, Renesito continued to attempt to publicly slander WG, well after RO's closure. On the final occasion, he made an insulting comment on Vio's video of the first war (WG vs Rune Outlaws), to which His Lordship simply replied:

Lol Renesito our clan lived and yours died. We win.
