A Federation line, July 2005.

The Federation was a syndicate of clans united against undesirable gameplay such as scamming and RPKing. WG joined the Federation shortly after opening in December 2003, and were eventually considered the strongest clan within the syndicate.[1] WG also shared alliances with all of the other clans involved.

Participants

Clans known to have held membership within the Federation are:

  • Council of Dragons
  • Dark Dragon Breath[2]
  • Death Jesters
  • DeepSea Knights[3]
  • Horses/Horse Men of the Apocalypse[4]
  • Imperials[5]
  • Iron Throne Guild[6]
  • Kentai Shadows/Retribution
  • Knights of Death
  • Ministry of Carnage[7]
  • Royal Kingdom of Asgarnia
  • The Sabres
  • Sleeping Dragons
  • The Soul Knights[8]
  • The Synergy and The Synergizers[9]
  • Wilderness Guardians and Descendant Guardians

A source from November 2008 states that minor clans involved in the Federation were Clan HTAO (possibly mistaken for HOTA), The Imperials, The Soul Knights and Sleeping Dragons.[10] His Lordship has stated that the only clan which could be taken seriously was SD.

WG's Involvement

WG originally joined the Federation after an invite from The Sabres on 19 December 2003. The clan would go on to attend a number of Federation events of the course of 2004, such as PK trips and war practices. However, the Federation is believed to have ceased operations sometime in 2004 or early 2005, most likely due to diminishing activity.

WG was one of six clans which helped reform the Federation in 2005, the others being The Sabres, The Synergy, Sleeping Dragons, Death Jesters, and Retribution. The earliest existing topic from the re-formed syndicate's forums was made on 15 May 2005, and the forums were officially released to WG on 28 May. The second iteration of the Federation is believed to have been considerably more active, with frequent joint events.

During a PK trip known as The Grand Federation Raid on 25 September 2005, a dispute arose concerning levels and leadership. A heated debate ensued, and WG was brought into the mix. Rick Hamm made the decision to withdraw WG from the Federation entirely on 30 September 2005. WG retained their alliances with The Sabres and The Synergy. Prospects for rejoining the Federation were considered, but all were ultimately denied. Archives of the Federation forums have not survived, and the fate of the syndicate remains unknown.
