Hey kings,
I made my first RS account back in 2007 on a public library computer. I was in 4th grade. I played occasionally through middle school but never really made it very far, and I finally drifted away from RS sometime around 2011.
Now, I'm a 21 year old college student majoring in English and History. I work as a librarian and as a student editor for an academic journal about Shakespeare. I may come off as a snob, but at night, I live a double life of debauchery as a beer-swilling frat dude.
I decided to come back to Gielinor last month, and I'm really happy that I did. I've been playing daily. Helps keeps the coronavirus blues at bay.Clan history.
How did you hear about us? Honestly? I ran into LGBTQHCIMBTW at the GE. I got curious and Googled their name to see if it was an acronym, and although I didn't get an answer, I ended up here.
Do you plan to join? Yes I do! I should have joined a clan a long time ago.
Any last comments?
I blasted Sea Shanty 2 at a frat party once. It was a hit.

That's the name I chose for my first character in 2007. I still have access to it in RS3, but I never use it.

Tell us about your RuneScape account and history.
I played regularly from 2007 to 2009 and then occasionally until 2011. I made my current account in August 2017, but I really started playing regularly again in January 2020. The in-game economy is fascinating to me, and I love monitoring it. I'm sort of a completionist, so I aspire to finish all quests. I've actually really been enjoying leveling Slayer, and I'm looking forward to taking on all of these really strange, vaguely eldritch monsters.
I go by "sharpdistance" or "sharp_distance" in most places like Minecraft and the PSN. It's a direct reference to the song "Heart of the Sunrise" by the prog rock band Yes.

Hey! My name is Sam. I'm a 21 year old third-year English/History student at a four-year college near Philadelphia. When I'm not living on campus, I live at my home in Washington, DC. I work as both a librarian on my campus and as a student editor for an academic journal about Shakespeare. I'm also the president of my college's radio station! I may come off as a snob, but at night, I live a double life of debauchery as a beer-swilling frat dude.
In my spare time, I'm learning HTML5 and CSS, and I also like fooling around with Raspberry Pi projects.
How did you hear about us? Crossed paths with LGBTQHCIMBTW at the GE in World 327. Out of boredom, I Googled their name to see if it was an acronym. I didn't find an answer, but I did find this clan.
What makes you want to join us? I've been searching around for a clan that I could really make a home out of. The players in this specific community are kind to each other, interested in what their peers have to say, and genuinely seem to have fun. I want to join a clan in which people play the game out of passion and in which people play with intention. I don't want to be one of those players who just plays for completion - I'm here for the journey.
I have a lot to learn about OSRS, and I believe that joining this clan is an important step in the learning process. I'm still learning the meta of the game, from what certain abbreviations mean to what greater goals I should be setting for myself. Right now, I kind of just feel like I'm floating from place to place, doing quests and leveling skills and making some money as I go. Being a part of a community like this will allow me to set larger, more ambitious end goals for myself as a player. That's something I need when I'm making a long-term commitment to a game.

Come clean about anything that may deter us from accepting you: I had to Google what the abbreviation RWT stands for. I totally understand if I should take more time to learn technicalities like that before I join.
