After Taibz or Tayzon ( i cant remember who sorry guys  :$) Mentioned playing some AoEII.
Whether that be on Steam or the old CD game i dont mind.
But i'd love to know who'd be interested +)

Welcome to this guide on setting up mIRC.
mIRC is by far the best program for IRC around for your PC however the inital setting up although simple can look quite confusing. So i've created this to help you through the inital setup to get on to #WG so you can on connect talk to your clan mates.

Getting mIRC loaded to your computer:

• First thing you need to do it go to Mirc: http://www.mirc.co.uk/
• Click Download mIRC on the left hand side of the screen
• Pick Closest location to you (Make sure its the latest version.)
• Follow all the instructions(just like downloading any regular program.)

Getting Started on your settings:

• When you start up mIRC you will see a box asking you to register, just close it.
• After you click Continue, up at the top left hand corner of the screen, you will see something like a folder with a hammer next to it, click it.
• This is your options menu, first thing you should come across is a window with some blank spots that you need to fill in.
  
  
  
  • Nickname – Runescape Nickname
  • Alternative – Runescape Nickname|away
  • ignore the others if you can. If not fill in.
• Then click Options on this and tick Use Invisible Mode.
  
  
  
  • DO NOT CLOSE OPTIONS.
• Click on Servers
  
  
  
  • Then you will have to scroll down the folders until you find SwiftIRC
  • Click it and then and press select.
  • This should bring you back to the inital screen. You started on. This time press Connect.
• A screen should pop up with a white back ground and text on it.
  
  
  
  • When the text has stop coming down type /ns register password password email email, With your Password and Email being you personal password for your account and an email address that you use for example /ns register BobfixesAxes BobfixesAxes [email protected] [email protected]
  • Press Enter and it should send a message to the server and create your account.
• Next you need to identify with this account
  
  
  
  • /Ns id Password (the one that you have just created)

Congratz you are a member of the server.

Setting up your Perform
This section outlines perform, which makes connecting easier.

• With the options menu still open, click on Options (in the drop down under Connect.)
• When that comes up Click on the Button that says Perform
• A new window should come up from there click add right next to the drop down menu.
• Find SwiftIRC and select it.
• After that click the drop down menu and select SwiftIRC
• In that box you should type the stuff in mine, dont forget to put YOUR nick and password


/nick (Runescape Nickname)
/ns identify Password (the one you previously used)
/join #wg_lobby

     7. After that, check  the box Enable perform on connect
     8. Press okay and you are all done.

Now when you open up IRC you should be brought to #WG_lobby


Tips:
1.Check of the following boxes in Options on the on the left side of the options menu(The 1 under connect ): Connect on Start up and Reconnect on disconnection.
2.Dont ever pay the IRC menu that pops up when you first load up mIRC it may take awhile for the Continue Button to became Clickable, but only a few seconds.

My Runescape history has been one of many twists and turns. Started out in 2005. As a skiller. I was only able to play once a week for a long time. So training myself was slow (still is lolololol) Joined Militos Deci around 2006. Stayed with them for 4 years then joined other clans (all in the list below). Favourite activity lol. Last time i joined wg i must admit i think i said trawler. This time its f2p warring and P2P warring.

Names Tom. 18 (19 in two weeks). Live in the United Kingdom (GMT UNIT STRONG)
Taste in music is pretty much everything. Cant think of anything i dont really like anymore. Hobbies i dont have so much anymore. GO Kayaking alot when i can or hiking. Other than scape play alot of league of legends and if im not on scape im on lol.

4. How did you hear about us and what makes you want to join WG or DG? Also, which of these two clans are you applying for?
WG ofc wouldnt touch DG with a bargepole cause they'd own my face. Ive known you guys for ages since i left. Ye i had a good time in brut but was a mistake to leave wg. Missed the people too much

5. If you have been in other clans before, what clans were they and what was your involvement with them?
Militos Deci - Ex leader. Old tipit clan Was led by a mod originally. Longest serving member.
Tal Shiar Alliance - Still part of. Events leader.
PK Masters - Another old tipit clan. Joined for a few months i'd know the guys for along time. I left to go into a bigger clan.

Basically what you're going to do is allocate more RAM to Java which will let your RS run smoother.

First thing you should do is download the official rs client from http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/Downloads_and_Wallpapers

After installing, hit start and search for 'runescape.prm' , this should only give 1 result (http://puu.sh/7WZk)

Open the file with notepad, you should get this:

Now what you want to do is change the '128' in the 2nd line from the bottom to a higher number; this is the MB of RAM allocated to Runescape on your pc. I personally advise not allocating more than 1/3rd of your total RAM if you have 2GB+ RAM, or not more than 1/4th if you have below 2GB. I personally use 1gb out of 4 for RS and my scape runs perfectly smooth on maxed settings (with 1 second loading screens).

Assuming 1 gb, change the 128 to 1024 giving this:

Save the file, close it, and re-load the official rs client.

Santa has about 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 967.7 visits per second.This is to say that for each Christian household with a good child, Santa has around 1/1000 of a second to park the sleigh, hop out, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left for him, get back up the chimney, jump into the sleigh and get on to the next house. Assuming that each of these 108 million stops is evenly distributed around the earth (which, of course, we know to be false, but will accept for the purposes of our calculations), we are now talking about 0.78 miles per household; a total trip of 75.5 million miles, not counting bathroom stops or breaks. So i got a phone call earlier or more my dad did.
Apparently it was microsoft ringing me up about an error in my PC.
Dad confused as fuck gave the phone to me.
I ran through my brother did have an error.

So this guy tells me to go to a website called Ammyy. I was a bit hesitant anyway it was a screen sharing. I was instantly like i dont like this. So i do what everybody should do if being told to go to a dodgy website. Check the verified things at the top. What do you know. It wasnt. Instant end of call..

Make sure you dont fall for anything like this guys. I didnt but apparently a fair few people do.
