An exodus is an event where a significant number of members leave a clan and subsequently form a clan of their own. While the phrase mass-leave is more commonly used to describe the departure of a large number of players within a considerably short timeframe, the term "exodus" specifically refers to a new clan created by all or the majority of the leaving members (also called a breakaway clan); when the group of players joins a pre-existing clan or go their separate ways, it is simply referred to as a "mass-leave".
The Wilderness Guardians has sustained several exodi over the course of its history, and several of the subsequent clans have sustained exodi of their own. Relationships with exodi vary - some have become allies and others rivals. The first and most successful exodus in terms of in-game strength was The Synergy (ranked #24 in 2006), while the longest-surviving is Oak Island Pirates (14 years as of 2020). The most recent exodus is Nothing Left (founded in 2019).

All of the first generation clans are exodi from Wilderness Guardians, except Oak Island Pirates which is an exodus of Descendant Guardians.
