When I was a kid, smithing was my favorite skill by far. I would keep every hammer I'd collect from a drop or see on the ground and add them to my bank so I had a stack of a few hundred. When I got back into playing last year and learned about the imcando hammer, I immediately grinded it out and now usually keep it in my off-hand whenever skilling as a call-back to the good-ol-days.

Thanks for the guide! As someone who has to play mostly AFK, I can't recommend crabs enough. Start with sand crabs in Zeah/Varlamore until you're doing high enough damage for ammonite crabs on fossil island. Download NPC aggression timer on Runelite, tile markers for ammonite crabs from Runemarkers, and an idle timer. Tele in, find an open spot, sit on the marked tile w/ auto-retaliate, minimize your client and do something else for a full 10 minutes at a time. When the timer dings, bring client back up, click outside the aggro range, go back and resume killing. I can usually get several hours of truly AFK training at a job where 2nd monitor playing/active playing isn't possible and am getting 50-70k xp/hr in scuffed gear.

I saw a post about spamming the rock fall trap and that the xp is almost as good as hunting for tickets. I'll sometimes afk click that on mobile if I need an agility level here or there. Pretty nice stuff.
