The Wilderness is a large wasteland in RuneScape located to the northeast of Gielinor. The vast majority of dangerous PvP occurs in the Wilderness, and it has been the primary location for PvP clan activity throughout the history of the game. The Wilderness Guardians was founded as a result of Wilderness PvP, and has been holding events in the Wilderness since 2003. They continue to hold the majority of their PK trips and wars in the Old School RuneScape Wilderness, and as such this article pertains largely to OSRS. The Wilderness in RuneScape 3 is largely inactive due to unbalanced PvP and a lack of PvP clans in the game.[1]
