S4 forums
The S4 forums were the second set of Invisionfree forums used by the Wilderness Guardians, from July of 2004 to 26 April 2005. These are the only forums to survive the transition from Invisionfree to Tapatalk, and can now be found here.
Overview
The S4 forums are the oldest surviving forums of WG. A switch from the S7 forums was made in July of 2004 - WG's written history suggests that this was due to S7 being poorly kept, inactive members, and spam - while historical accounts suggest it was an attempt at eradicating spies. The clan's historical timeline and newspost archives differ on whether the switch occurred on the 20th[1] or 30th.[2]
The S4 days were described as the "most colourful and hectic days of WG" in January of 2006. Notable events which occurred include:
- WG hosted their first war against the Rune Outlaws
- Write2brandy, a WG member, was reported dead from Leukemia and an in-game funeral was held - leading to a second war with RO
- His Lordship temporarily resigned after a controversial fansite post regarding the U.S.A., and the exodus The Revolution was founded as a result
