No anniversary was held for 2006 as a result of [[D-Day]] and [[His Lordship]]'s third permanent ban. Like the [[2005 Anniversary]], the 2007 Anniversary events actually occured in 2008 - although it is hard to determine exactly when. At the time, His Lordship was attending a [[Real life meeting]] in London, and so at least the first two days were organised by [[Dorcha3377]], the next-in-charge staff member at the time. As a result, 2007 was the first year in which a Clan Quest was not held as part of the Anniversary.

Day 1 is known to have been held on 20 January 2008, and consisted of a Flower Power, Firefest, and Castle Wars events - though only screenshots of a Firefest were recorded in the clan's website gallery. Day 2 was planned for the 27th, although it was only given one day's notice and it is uncertain whether the day was held successfully.

The 2007 Anniversary was a series of RuneScape 2 events held to celebrate the 4th birthday of the Wilderness Guardians. It consisted of 8 events in late 2007.[1]

Overview

📝 This article is a stub. You can help the Wilderness Guardians Wiki by expanding it.

No anniversary was held for 2006 as a result of D-Day and His Lordship's RuneScape account receiving a third permanent ban.

The exact structure of the 2007 anniversary has mostly been lost to history, as the section of the Z6 forums pertaining to it had all its content deleted by the time Vio (as the clan Historian) gained access to it in 2010. The events are believed to have been held around early December of 2007 - the second drop party event is recorded as the last drop party before Jagex removed free trade from RuneScape, which occurred on 10 December 2007. As anniversary days generally have between 2 and 4 events, it is reasonable to presume the 2007 anniversary lasted for at least 2 days. The first three events after the Veteran War were open to non-clan member players, and is likely that they were all held on the same day based on the website gallery captions.

During His Lordship's holiday to Europe in January 2008, Dorcha3377 (Jenny, the next-in-charge staff member) attempted to host some anniversary events - it is not clear why, if the 2007 anniversary had already been completed.[2]

Events

A total of 8 events were recorded in WG's website gallery: The Veteran War, The Firefest, The Public Drop Party, The Conga Line, The Photo Shoot, The Private Drop Party, The Trawler Trip, and The Duelling Contest. 2007 was the first year in which a Clan Quest was not held as part of the Anniversary, though the reasons for this are unknown.

The Veteran War

Main article: Veteran War

The Firefest

A firefest was held in Falador, and players from all clans of RuneScape were invited to it and the subsequent drop party.

The Public Drop Party

A public drop party was held in the Falador party room, with around 15,000,000 coins worth of items being dropped.

The Conga Line

After the drop party, a conga line event was held in which dozens of players followed each other to form a line which snaked throughout RuneScape.

The Photo Shoot

An event to gain impressive screenshots was held. The theme of the shoot was Sparta from the movie 300, and was held at the Clan House as well as the streets of Varrock and Falador.

The Private Drop Party

Around 15,000,000 coins worth of items were dropped in the Clan House, in the clan's last drop party before the removal of free trade on 10 December 2007.

The Trawler Trip

Two successful Fishing Trawler trips were made.

The Duelling Contest

The clan hosted several fights at the Duel Arena, with Council members offering prizes to anyone who could defeat them.
