The 2005 Anniversary was a series of RuneScape 2 events held to celebrate the 2nd birthday of the Wilderness Guardians. The actual events took place in 2006, almost 2 months later than expected[1] - though it was still a considerable success, with a series of 15 different events being held over the course of 5 days in February of 2006. 3 additional days were planned, but His Lordship was unable to host them.[2]
Contents
Day One
Day 1 consisted of four events:
- The Veteran War
- The Firefest: a Firefest held in Falador, with many players from other clans invited
- The Public Drop Party: a drop party held in Falador, with over 15,000,000 coins worth of items were dropped - 10,000,000 of which came from the clan bank
- The Conga Line: a conga line involving hundreds of players throughout RuneScape, alleged by His Lordship to be the largest conga line ever organised at the time
The day lasted over two and half hours, and the majority of the events were open to the public. A video of the Veteran War was produced, but is believed to be lost to history.[3]
- The Veteran War
- The Firefest
- The Public Drop Party
- The Conga Line
Day Two
Day 2 consisted of four events:
- The Photo Shoot: members were provided black and white wizard robes and took screenshots north of Falador in various formations: a checkerboard, square, and forming the WG initials. An "archer pose" of the clan all in black and wielding magic shortbows atop Lumbridge Castle referenced the previous year's photo shoot.
- The 20 Million GP Drop Party: a private drop party for clan members, with 20,000,000 coins worth of items being dropped on the top of Lumbridge Castle (prior to the Lumbridge bank being added to the game)
- The Trawler Trip: 2 rounds of the Fishing Trawler minigame were played successfully
- The Duelling Contest: intra-clan fights at the Duel Arena, for which Council members gave out coins to use as stakes
The day lasted over four and a half hours.
- The Photo Shoot
- The 20 Million GP Drop Party
- The Trawler Trip
- The Duelling Contest
Day Three
Day 3 consisted of three events, under the theme of "Wildy Fr00bs" - a theme invented for the previous anniversary, but with different events:
- The Market Crash: members wore black wizard robes and spammed the World 1 Varrock west bank (a popular trading area before the Grand Exchange) using toy horses
- The Dance Party: the clan performed various emotes in Falador centre, impressing many public spectators
- The Rubber Chicken War: an intra-clan war at the Chaos Temple in level 38 Wilderness, using rubber chickens as weapons. Prizes were awarded to the last survivors.
- The Market Crash
- The Dance Party
- The Rubber Chicken War
Day Four
Day Four consisted of 2 events: the Clan Quest, and a hide-and-seek event. These were followed by an impromptu PK trip - although there are no screenshots from the PK trip or hide-and-seek.
Da Lordy Code (Clan Quest)
His Lordship provided a series of clues and a master riddle as to his in-game location - he was ultimately found at the top of Trollweiss Mountain.
The Hide and Seek
Similar to the Clan Quest, His Lordship hid in various in-game location and provided clues for the members to try and find him. No screenshots were saved for this event, although 1,800,000 in coins was handed out for the finders.
