Sectors

The Sectors was a division of the Wilderness Guardians from 2007 to 2008, into three distinct groups based on individual members' preferences for RuneScape events.
Sectors were introduced on 29 May 2007.[1] There were three main groups: the Skills Sector, Fighting Sector (or Wilderness Sector), and the Community Sector. The Skills Sector focused on non-combat with programmes to help with skilling, moneymaking, and offering protection while skilling in the Wilderness. The Fighting Sector held PvP events such as PK trips and wars, and members of this sector were required to attend at least one PvP event per week. The Community Sector was based around making friends, keeping in touch, and having fun without making any commitments.
All WG members were a part of the Community Sector by default, and any player who met WG's requirements could join - though they were not permitted to attend the events of the other sectors if they were solely Community Sector members, and multi-clanning was not permitted. Members could also apply to join either the Skills Sector or Fighting Sector depending on their preference for events, provided they met the requirements for the Sector. There was also the option to join both, resulting in a de-facto "Combined" Sector. This required members to remain consistently active within both the Skilling and Fighting sectors - if they became inactive in one, they would be transferred to the sector in which they were active.[2]
Sectors were abolished on 4 March 2008, and WG became one whole clan again. Members of the Skills and Fighting Sectors retained their ranks, while members of the Community Sector were given the rank of Emeritus. The Community Sector Leaders became Moderators, Raid Leaders of the Fighting Sector retained their rank, and the Skills Leaders became Event Leaders.[3]
