2012 was the ninth complete year of the Wilderness Guardians, and the year in which RuneScape 3 replaced RuneScape 2 as the flagship game of Jagex.
Summary
Despite the return of PvP to the Wilderness and DG's success, WG was struggling with the prevalence of NH in 2012. The clan instead turned towards CWA, entering the 2012 Jagex Cup and doing moderately well. In August 2012, the WG and DG staff decided to combine their leadership. His Lordship and Vio also made an attempt at alerting Jagex to the state of the PvP and clan community with a popular and well-received documentary on the Wilderness. Despite their efforts, the clan world suffered yet another hard hit with the Evolution of Combat in November.
